Aru Shah and the End of Time is about a girl in Spider-Man
pyjamas named Aru Shah, living in a museum where her
mother works. She likes to bend the truth. Her classmates
called her a liar. Her frenemies come to the museum and
discover her lies. In order to prove herself to her classmates,
she lits a cursed lamp. In that instant, everything gets frozen
in time. She found out that she is one of the Pandavas of that
generation. She met Mini, another Pandava. They had nine
days to complete their quest to find the three keys to open
the Door to the Kingdom of Death to defeat a sleeper, who
was summoned by the lamp. The sleeper was an ancient
demon whose duty was to awaken the Lord of Destruction,
which will cause the end of time.
I loved this book! This is the first book I read on Hindu –
Mythology. Although I was not aware of the Hindu
mythology, but I kept collecting information on that while
reading this book. I had never thought that mythology could
be so fascinating! Every person’s perspective of reading the
book can differ. If someone is aware of the mythology, they
would know how the character would turn out to be. But
who didn’t know about the mythology, would be more
curious about every new character.
I really liked that the glossary of every mythological character
in the book is given (even of which who were not in the
book).
At the end of this book, Unsolved mystery was left in the last
chapter, so I became curious to know the story further and
read the second book.
I prefer this book to age 8 – 14 years old. Read this book, and
discover the world of Hindu – Mythology!
