Dear Amber,

Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you full-time admission to McMaster as follows:

PROGRAM: Social Sciences 1


ADMIT TERM: 2023 Fall

RESIDENCE: Currently, we are unable to guarantee you a space in residence. However, your admission
average will be reviewed when your official second semester midterm grades are received through OUAC
(to be received in our office by May 15). If you qualify, you will be notified by email in mid-May. In the
meantime, you can apply to the waiting list as residence spaces may become available later in the
summer. Alternatively, you may also check out off-campus housing options.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: This offer is conditional upon your achieving the following final academic
standing by June 30, 2023:

• Successful completion of at least six Grade 12 U/M courses, including the required courses for
this program as specified in our Undergraduate Calendar.
• Successful completion of the O.S.S.D. requirements.
• Your final admission average will be calculated to two decimal points and we do not round up
averages. You must present a final average of your best six grade 12 U/M courses including the
required courses for your program with a minimum percentage of 78

You are required to satisfy these conditions in order to maintain your enrolment for 2023 Fall.
Failure to meet these conditions by June 30, 2023 will result in your offer being cancelled. Final Grade 12
U/M grades and verification of O.S.S.D. will be sent electronically to us from the OUAC in mid-to-late July.
You may not be notified of the decision to cancel your offer until that time. Should you become aware,
upon receipt of final grades, that you have failed to meet these conditions, you are advised to contact us
immediately to discuss options.

RESPONDING TO YOUR OFFER: To reserve your place in this program, you must successfully accept
this offer of admission via the OUAC website by June 01, 2023 or earlier.
