1.    Unions
As union employees, they feel that they are going to achieve a common goal. Unions provide
negotiation of labor disputes and grievance procedures.

2.    Organizational Culture
Each organization has its own culture. It is not just about employees and management. It is
about how employees are treated.

3.    Communication
One of the key factors influencing employee relations is communication. Effective
communication in the workplace is important because a clear message has gone to them.

Employees should know who to report to and who has decision-making authority over them, the
employee should enforce a chain of command.

The management style can be perceived differently by each individual. It can influence
employer-employee relationships, as a manager must be recognized how management style
effects to workers will help back become a more effective leader.

Employee engagement is an organization approach consequential in the best and right
conditions for all members of an organization to give of their best each and every day, faithful to
their organization’s goals and values motivated to contribute to organizational success.

Some example external factors could include:

1. Work/Life Balance
In relation to flexible working hours and to request flexibility within companies; they respond
best to flexible schedules and paid opportunities for continuing education. Employees like to
work long hours and underuse flextime.
2. Economic Factors
Factors that influence the Economic can be understood as ownership of the organization, nature
of the workforce, Sources of labour, the disparity of wages and the level of unemployment.
3. Lifestyle introduction
Provide proper training regarding Prescription drug abuse, financial illiteracy and lack of leisure
skill knowledge all affect overall worker health and resilience. Then the organization will
discover healthier workers, with clearer thinking and better decision-making skills. (Smith, 2018)
4. Political and Legal Factors
Political and Legal factors such as political philosophy, the attitude of the government and
Labour laws and the role of trade unions directly influence to employee relations.(Mike, 2017)

Industry Relations
Industrial relations are that field of study which analyzes the relationship among the management and
the employees of an organization at the workplace and also provides a mechanism to settle down the
various industrial disputes. This concept evolved in the late 19th century because of the industrial
revolutions.
