Singapore charts a path to a 45-minute city

A revised structure for governing Singapore’s metro network, in which the Land Transport Authority (LTA) plays a
central role as asset owner and overseer of new network construction, renewals and upgrades is providing a
long-term framework for boosting network utilisation and reliability. It is also providing interesting lessons for
other rapid transit networks as they continue to recover Covid-19 ridership, as Kevin Smith discovers.

Enhancing high-speed train aerodynamics

Complete data for your infrastructure

In order to plan and implement construction measures timely and
cost-effectively, you need precise and complete data. This means
complete recording of the track, track bed, substructure, and
environmental parameters. The new EM120VT is a multitalented
measuring vehicle and was designed precisely for this purpose: to
provide a comprehensive data basis. It supplies high-resolution data
of all track components at measuring speeds of up to 120 km/h.
It generates a digital 1:1 image of the line and immediately provides
information about which intervention has to take place in which
spots. We provide the data you need. One vehicle. One pass.
