The intention of the doer is to steal money in order for him to buy some medicine for his very sick daughter. 2.) What Mang Juan did is IMMORAL. His object is bad, that is to steal money, and his intention is to have money to buy some medicine for his daughter. Thus, his action would have bad effect and the act is immoral. The circumstances increase or decrease the responsibility of Mang Juan. We could say that Mang Juan decided to rob at Quiapo because people accept the fact that it is a place where thieves can most likely be found. So, the guilt of Mang Juan is decreased compared in robbing inside the Quiapo Church. It is indeed immoral even if his intention is good because what he did was bad or immoral. Then, it would be a double burden or problem for Mang Juan because he stole money and bought some medicine but his daughter still died because he bought the wrong medicine. For me, he should not do the object of the act. Instead, he should accept the fate of his daughter dictated by God.

Actual Impediments Ignorance This impediment was manifested when Mang Juan bought the wrong medicine making his daughter die. It is an invincible ignorance because he is totally unaware of what he must buy. Passion Mang Juan loves her daughter so much thats why he did something wrong just for her daughter to be cured. It is a consequent passion because the fault of the agent for it is willed directly or indirectly. Fear Mang Juan feared the fact that his daughter might die if he doesnt provide some medicine for her. This fear is associated with the fear Mang Juan experienced. Violence Mang Juan threaten the teenager by involving a knife and accidentally stabbed him on the chest area. ii.) Habitual Impediments Personal Structure Maybe Mang Juan was raised by his parents in an irresponsible manner. Mang Juan could do alternative solutions but because of his personal or individual attitude and structure, he do not know what to do. F.) Circumstances may either increase or decrease the wrongfulness of an evil act. Circumstances also may either increase or decrease the merits of a good act. Some circumstances may alter the nature of an act. Based on these principles, Mang Juan did something immoral but because of the circumstances, specifically the impediments, the voluntariness of the act of Mang Juan was decreased. This case is somewhat possible in our modern time. Some people would do an immoral act, even if they know that it is evil, because of the extrinsic factors or impediments surrounding them. In some point of the case, Mang Juan would be considered a moral person because of his principle and perspective in life. That is, to provide good care and health for her daughter. He respects the sanctity of family life. But because of the impediments, Hes voluntariness of the act was lessen because of the passion for her daughter, the fear that hes daughter might die and the ignorance of not knowing what medicine to buy. Lets take for consideration the passion he has for his daughter. He loves his daughter so much thats why even if he knew from the start that his act is immoral, he still did it because the very important thing he has on his mind while doing the act was to save her daughter and the love he has for her. Ergo, the voluntariness of the act was

deduced but not making it fully involuntary. It just lessen the voluntariness and the guilt Mang Juan could have.
