Observant Creator

To begin with, an Observant Creator is someone who is able to use their creativity and

qualities to create a beautiful work using the resources around them. They seek understanding by

taking risks or facing unknown challenges that help them continue to learn and grow. They

always want to find the reason or purpose behind any situation, as well as finding possible

positive outcomes. Furthermore, they're also willing to take others' needs into account in order to

serve.

I believe that there are many qualities I have that represent this skill. In the past, I would

always get distracted in class, mostly because I did not choose wisely where I sat. This would

also lead to me not being able to participate much and not learning the material well. Now I have

grown in this area by taking responsibility for my learning, sitting in a place where I know I

won't get distracted, and always seeking better understanding by asking my teacher questions

when I struggle on a topic.

In addition to that, I have also noticed my growth and improvement in asking why and

how questions when I feel like I need more understanding on a topic or just to obtain more

information to complete a task. This affected me in most of the classes, but now this isn't a

problem anymore. For example, when working on our expedition called the Justice League, there

were so many occasions in which we had to identify different problems in our community and

ways we could solve them. While working on this topic, I had to ask questions to help me

understand how I had to do it.

Also, I learned that listening to music helps me a lot. This helps me work better because I

am not distracted by the things happening around me. Listening to music helps me concentrate,

and for some reason it helps me work more fluently. Usually when I work without music, I get

distracted with the smallest things. Doing things with music helps me work in a more efficient

way.

I believe that using resources at hand in a wise way on occasion can be challenging for

me. I tend to always choose the easiest path for things, which is often because of laziness; for

example, when we have silent reading instead of reading books, I tend to always read things on

my computer, like articles or magazines. This frequently leads to distractions and my not being

able to complete my assignments by the time they're due. I will start to improve this skill by

reading more books for my reading logs or any other assignment where I can use books rather

than technology, and in this way I will be able to improve my reading skills, which is one of my

goals for the rest of my time in high school.

In addition, I am a person who loves to serve the community, and that is something that I

really enjoy doing. I usually serve when I get the opportunity to do so during school activities or

service week. Also, I noticed that I have to start recognizing the need in the community to serve

with my heart, using my time to help others.

One of the talents I have developed throughout the years is using and fixing different

types of technology. This wasn't a problem for me since my dad used to work with phones and I

helped him. I have used this talent that God gave me to help others to fix their phones without

expecting anything back, just trying to develop the talent I have.

In conclusion, I have some strengths in this skill, but many that I need to improve. I will

take from my own time to help me succeed in demonstrating what a loving collaborator really is.

I will learn to keep on understanding this skill and apply it to my life, so I can have a successful

and fruitful future.
