SINCE 2014
OFGEN is an Africa focused Distributed Renewable Energy company
with its Head Office in Nairobi, Kenya with regional offices across the
region. The company has been in operation since 2014 with a market
focus on the Commercial and Industrial Sector (C&I). We support our
clients with their energy efficiency effort while at the same time
working with them to develop onsite captive solar power plants.

OFGEN is a growing medium size company, with a base

capitalization of USD 5.1 million, USD 6.1 million of captive solar PPA
assets under management and 9.2 MW of Solar PV + 10.3 MWh of
battery storage (the largest C&I installation in Africa) under
management. We have a further 15 MWp at various stages of
development across Africa.

Prior to taking Ofgen full throttle into the
Commercial and Industrial space in 2014, Jibril was
the Managing Director of Nordic Partner Kenya.
he has served in various senior management
positions over his career, with his core skills in
Administration, Budget Management, Sales &
Marketing and Key Account Management.
Jibril is a fellow of Mathew Boulton College
Buckingham's Legal Executive institute (ILEX).
Jibril also doubles as the company’s Commercial
Director
GEOFFREY RONOH
Director – Technical and IT
An Engineer with a BSc in Electrical & Electronics
Engineering (UoN) and an MSc in Sustainable
Energy & Entrepreneurships from the University of
Nottingham, Geoffrey is the company’s Lead
Technical Manager.
Geoffrey is the one of the founding faculty
members of the Strathmore Energy Center where
he still serves as a Director.
Prior to his involvement in the Sustainable Energy
Sector, he worked in KPMG as a Manager –
Development Advisory Services; with extensive
experience in Public Sector & Development
Stakeholder Management, Technical Project
Management, Audit & Financial Reporting and
Grant Management.
Geoffrey also servers on the board of Electricity
Sector Association of Kenya (ESAK) and as an
Advisory Board Member of the Strathmore Energy
Research Centre.
KAJUJU KAGEENU
Director – Finance & Strategy
As a career Investment Manager Kajuju has a
focus on developing Off market portfolio
investments that harness the regions growth
potential for stable high yielding assets.
She has extensive experience that cuts across Real
Estate investments, Private Equity investments
(Early Stage and Growth Capital) and Credit
management.
Kajuju also serves as the Investment Director at GC
Investments a Rwanda based Investment Manager
with over USD 10million of assets under
management. She is the former Investment
Director and Head of Rwanda Operations for
Fusion Capital.
She also serves on the board of Savannah Creek
Development Company and as an Advisory Board
Member of Ubora Group ( Ubrora Heart Clinics and
Ubora Hospital).

PPA PORTFOLIO
MANAGEMENT TRACK RECORD

In 2017 OFGEN entered into a Joint Venture with Mettle (Renamed SPS
Investment) a Specialised Solar Energy funding company.

The JV named METTLE SOLAR OFGEN (MSO) has since 6 solar plants under
its management.

Under the JV :-
- OFGEN’s core responsibility the Engineering , Design , Construction ,
Operations and Maintenance , Billing and Collection and the overall day to
MARA SERENA - 2019 AMBOSELI - 2018 day customer management .
- Mettle’s core responsibility was to raise the required long-term capital . The
funding for the plants is a mix of Mettle’s own Equity plus Equity raised from
CDC Group UK (Renamed British International Investment).

The JV has USD 3.5 million worth of assets under management. Effective 1st
July 2022 OFGEN will transfer its shareholding in the JV to SPS Investment.
The parting of ways with SPS investment is cordial and has been necessitated
by the entry of CFAO Group as our main equity partner for all long-term
assets.

In 2020 OFGEN began support PPA contracts

within our balance sheet an onset to OFGEN
owned renewable Assets Holding Co.

To date our balance sheet hold USD 2.6 million

with a further 1.3 million of PPA contracts in the
final stages of contracting and due for
development in Q3 of 2022.

OFGEN supports both Kenya Shilling and USD

denominated PPAs.
