At the age of 7, I wanted to do a sport or some sort of activity after school. I thought it would help me
make more friends and also it would give me something to do. I took up Wrestling. The next year after I
tried soccer. I knew I wouldn’t’ve been able to do both so I had to pick which one I wanted to do. I was
leaning more towards soccer, so the day I went to quit, before I even mentioned it, my wrestling coach
asked me to compete in a tournament. I agreed, thinking I wasn’t going to do good anyways. I ended up
getting first place. This achievement created inspiration to continue to wrestle and forget about soccer.
Over a span of 7 years (7-14), I was determined to keep getting better. So, I started exercising to get
stronger, and I started talking some boxing as well. I later quit wrestling so I could pursue exercise and
MMA. To this day, I still exercise and box 5-6 days a week. If I never agreed to go to the tournament, it’s
possible I would have never started exercising, and I wouldn’t have been inspired to eat healthier. Also,
in 2021 when someone tried to steal my mom’s purse out of the cart in Walmart. If I didn’t exercise and
know how to defend myself, I wouldn’t have been able get her purse back.
