In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

V. God, come to our assistance. 

R. O Lord, make haste to help us. 
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is
now, and will be forever.  Amen.

Introductory Prayer
O angelic young Gabriel, who, with your ardent love for Jesus Crucified and your
compassion for Our Lady of Sorrows, were on earth a mirror of innocence and an example of
every virtue; we turn to you full of confidence to implore your aid.

How many evil things and afflictions, how many dangers, assail us and our young people
from every side, enemies of our salvation, seeking to make us lose the faith.

By your prayers and merits, St Gabriel, obtain for us and for them all the graces we need to
remain faithful to God and never leave the state of sanctifying grace.

O good St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, you were taught by God to love the Passion of
Jesus and to remember the Sorrows of Mary His Mother.

By her side, you stood by the Cross of Jesus and shared her compassion.

Following her, you grew in love for God and all His people.

O St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, we humbly ask you to intercede before God on our
behalf, especially for the intentions we now present before you (mention request here…)

Let us Pray
Almighty God, Father of mercies and giver of all good gifts, we come before you to honor
you in Your Saints and to ask their help in our many needs. You have promised those who
ask, would receive, those who seek, would find, those who knock, would have doors opened
to them. Hear the prayers of Your Church, the prayers of your sons and daughters through our
dear saints and our Blessed Mother. Grant our requests, pour down on us you blessings and
pardon our sins. Amen.

A brief Story of the Saint

Saint Gabriel one of thirteen children. After a youth devoted to the world and society,
attending the theatre, chasing women and the hunt, he was led to the Passionist Order by Our
Lady, making his profession on 22 September 1857. His life was not marked by great events
or controversy, but given to prayer, sacrifice, and a devotion to Our Lady and the
contemplation of her sorrows over the suffering of Jesus. Many miracles are attributed to him
after his death. Cured Saint Gemma Galgani when she prayed for his intervention. Pope
Benedict XV gave him as a pattern for young people. He died at the age of 24.
