Role-play 1

You all belong to a bilingual private school in Bogota and are part of the English
department. The head of the department asks his/her teachers to give opinions
about the new book which will be used in sixth grade. There are three books
options and you all have to discuss and decide which is the best book which meets
the curriculum and students’ needs. Play the meeting in front of the classmates.

Role-play 2

You are in a seminar on academic writing at the university. The professor requests
your essays outlines orally. He listens to all of your outlines and approves two; the
others need to change the topic. Play the meeting in front of the classmates.

Role-play 3

You all belong to a bilingual school in Bogota and are part of the English
department. You are planning this year activities and one of them is the English
Day. Play a meeting with the head of the department, discuss and plan the
different activities that will be held during that day and along the year.

Role-play 4

You all belong to a bilingual private school in Bogota and are part of the English
department. Too many students from different grades failed the English subject
for several reasons. Discuss the situation with the head of the department and
create a plan to lower the fail figures for the next term. Play the meeting in front
of the classmates.

Role-play 5

You all belong to a bilingual public school in Bogota and are part of the English
department. The department organizes the second term English tests for the
whole school in one day. Play the meeting in which you discuss the organization of
the test day and come up with the organization plan.
Role-play 6

The covid-19 pandemic has just started. The Humanities department at public
school in Bogota is in charge of planning the strategies to continue the lessons at
home. Some students do not have any technological devices. Some have either
their parents' computers or cell-phones. Very few have their own devices. Play the
meeting and discuss those issues with the English department leader and the
teachers. In addition, figure out a plan that meets the students' needs and allows
them to continue their studies.
