I. The subject of the lesson is: Study English.


II. The objectives of the lesson are:
 to practice the vocabulary on the topic ‘Study English’;
 to develop pupils’ reading and speaking skills on the topic ‘Study
English’;
 to develop pupils’ imagination;
 to train pupils’ memory and logical thinking;
 to practice pupils completing sentences using new vocabulary on the
topic ‘Study English’;
 to develop pupils’ skills in filling up the words in the sentences;
 to develop pupils’ skills in asking and answering questions about the
theme.

III. Teaching aids and teaching materials: Textbook Our English 6


form, Byrkun , cards with exercises, a map of the town, cards with.

V. The procedure of the lesson:


1. Preliminaries:
a) greetings
Good day, children! I’m glad to see you. How do you feel today? The lesson
starts, so get ready.
b) warming-up
Who is absent today?

What weather is it today? Who can describe? Do you like today’s weather?
Why / why not? How do you feel today?
c) making notes in the register
d) a talk on the subject of the lesson
Today the subject of our lesson is ‘Study English’. Please, write down it into
your copy-books.

2. Checking home task. (Ex.17 p.125).


What was your home task for today? Let’s check it. Show me your workbooks,
please. Are there any volunteers to read?

3. Enhancing speaking skills.

1. How long did it take you to identify the source of each text?
2. How many times did you read text?
3. Did you need to know every word in the texts to do the tasks?
4. Which words did you use and which ones did you ignore?

4. Reading
 Ex.24 p. 128 (Read the description of three types of learners and say
which group you belong to. Prove this by remembering what you were
doing during the previous lesson)
1. This type of learners likes to see everything. They remember everything
better if they can read the information. They like to learn languages using
pictures or real objects.
2. This type of learners has a very good ear. They remember everything
very well if they hear it. They like listening to tapes, to their teacher and
classmates.

3. This type of learners is very active. They remember everything much
better when they do something practical. They like doing projects, writhing
something, drawing pictures when they learn a language.

5. Speaking
 Please open your books p.128 Ex. 26(Here are some ways of
studying and practicing English. Which ones were you doing during the
previous English lesson or as your homework? Choose the items. Then
answer the questions and do the tasks.)
1. How many of these things were you doing the previous English lesson?
2. Look back at both lists. Write numbers from 1 to 10 next to the things
which you enjoy doing the most.
3. Make a list from A to J of the things that you need the most.
4. Are the things you enjoy the most the same as the things you need the
most?
5. What could you do for studying and practicing English last month? last
year? In the first year of studying English?
6 Writing
Now, you should write down near 5 6 sentences “Why we have to study
foreign language?”
7. Home task.
 Your home task for the next time is to write a short topic about your
activities at the foreign language lesson.
