CULTURE
Mexican culture is the result of both the indigenous
tradition and the Spanish culture imposed by
colonization.
A little less in comparison was the contribution of
the African culture brought by the slaves that the
Europeans themselves incorporated into the
nascent Latin American society.
In this way, in Mexico a society similar to the
European and American ones join hands, with an
important aboriginal legacy in the arts, culture and
ethnicity.
SAVORING
MEXICAN FOOD

Mexican gastronomy consists of a set of dishes that are

characteristic for the richness of flavors, aromas and the
ancestry of their origin.
It is made up of various dishes that reflect the wealth
that has accumulated over time: from pre-Hispanic
times, to colonial times and even contemporary times.
This miscegenation is so rich that our gastronomy was
declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in
2010 by UNESCO.

Among these, those with more than half a million speakers are
Yucatec Maya, Tseltal, Tzotzil and Mixtec.

Although there is no single established official language, Spanish

and the 68 indigenous languages of the country are recognized
as official languages of Mexico with the same value before the
law.
