When beginning a new scale do not use the metronome. After you feel comfortable, then start with a

slow speed and increase the metronome slowly each time you play. Lowest Speed should be Semibreves

• Before you start to study a new scale, go over the ones you’ve already learned.
o This will help you keep the ones you’ve already studied in good condition; and help your fingers
warm up.







Interval Studies For The Fingers


1. Play the intervals studies in 4th’s first right then left hand. Pay attention to the finger numbers and your
hand position. After you’ve mastered them in C major, play them in F & G major.




2. Play the intervals studies in 5th’s first right then left hand. Pay attention to the finger numbers and your
hand position. After you’ve mastered them in C major, play them in F & G major.
