Histamine chamber

1. Cleaning: Clean the outer and inner surface of histamine chamber with a clean cotton
clath carefully.
2. Operating procedure:
 Fill the nibulizer with histamine.
 Fit the nibulizer which is connected to monometer and the compressor to main
chamber.
 Open the door and keep the animal in the histamine chamber.
 Close the sliding cover.
 Expose the aerosol to animal by pumping the nibulizer.
 Record the time when animals (Controled and drug treated) shows preconvulsion
dyspnea.
 Open the sliding cover and remove the histamine vapour.
 Remove histamine from nibulizer and animal from the histamine chamber.
 Clean the histamine chamber properly with a neet and clean cotton clath.

3. Precautions:
 The histamine chamber must be cleaned.
 Leackage of histamine vapour must be checked.
 The aerosol spray must be discontinued as soon as animal develops sign of
bronchospasm, convulsions and head drop.
