 ACT 1

EXT. PATHWAY 8:00PM

ADAM is running away from someone who has attacked him and is
trying to phone the police but as he presses ring his phone
dies and he drops it he does not stop running and leaves his
phone behind.
 
 

Cuts to a plain black screen with the sound of police sirens

going off and a news story playing.
NEWS REPORTER
Friends and family of Adam Hunter
are marking 4 days since his
disappearance, with fresh attempts
to find out more information on
what happened to him...
CUT TO:

EXT. FIELD - NIGHT 6:00PM

Adam Hunter, an 18 year old teenager wakes up in the middle
of a field led on his side with a scratch on his head from a
head injury he does not know about. He is cold and
disorientated.

CLOSE UP ON ADAMS FACE WAKING UP

Adam slowly turns and looks up to the sky and there is a
person with a white mask looking over him. He suddenly gets
up and sprints away as fast as he can.
Adam makes it into the forest and looks around and it starts
getting darker.

EXT. FOREST - NIGHT 6:10PM

ADAM begins breathing heavy and looks around confused and
sees a campfire lit in the distance and slowly walks towards
it.
 
 2.

ADAM reaches the fire and is confused as there is left-over

camping supplies and the fire is nearly out so begins to
start getting fire wood but people in white masks start
bringing them towards him and starts putting them on the
fire. ADAM gets startled but then starts asking questions.
ADAM HUNTER
Who are you guys?
WHITE MASKED PEOPLE
Silent
ADAM HUNTER
I don't know where I am and I have
come across you twice now. Can't
you just tell me what's happening?
WHITE MASKED PEOPLE
Still Silent
ADAM HUNTER
(Voice Rising)
Who are you? What do you want from
me?
One of the White Masked People points at ADAMS cut on his
head.
Adam rubs his head with his hand and smears blood onto his
hand and looks up...
ADAM HUNTER (CONT'D)
(confused)
What... what do you want from me?
The Masked People have disappeared, leaving Adam alone once
again.
ADAM HUNTER (CONT'D)
(muttering to himself)
This is insane. I must be going
crazy.
ADAM begins to search around the abandoned campsite for
supplies. He finds a bottle of water with 1/4 left, a jacket
and a small first aid kit with a few plasters in.
ADAM picks up a plaster and puts it over the cut on his head
and after a while, ADAM starts to feel drowsy and lays down
on the ground, resting his head on his jacket. The White
Masked People continue to keep watch over him, occasionally
adding more wood to the fire to keep him warm.
 3.

ADAM falls asleep. He has no idea where he is or how he got

there, but for the first time in days, he feels hopeful that
he will be okay.
FADE TO BLACK

EXT. FOREST - DAY 8:00AM

The screen fades to black, and we hear the sound of crickets
and the crackling of the fire. The camera fades back in to
show Adam still sleeping by the fire which is slowly going
down.
ADAM begins to pack up some supplies and starts to leave the
site but begins to walk the wrong way as the white masked
person is pointing into a different direction.

SHOTS OF ADAM WALKING THROUGH THE FOREST

EXT. FIELD - DAY 9:00AM

ADAM finally makes it out of the forest and into a field
where he is directed by multiple masked people

DRONE SHOT OF WHITE MASKED PEOPLE ALL POINTING INTO A CERTAIN

DIRECTION BY USING CAMERA TRICKERY.
After some time ADAM stumbles across a path with a tree with
a missing photograph of his face on it and a sense of worry
is struck upon his face.
ADAM HUNTER
(Confused)
How long have I been gone for?...
WHITE MASKED PEOPLE
Silent.
ADAM looks confused and begins to follow the path and finds a
phone on the floor.

FLASHBACK EXT. PATHWAY 8:00PM

ADAM is running away from someone who has attacked him and is
trying to phone the police but as he presses ring his phone
dies and he drops it he does not stop running and leaves his
phone behind.
 4.

FLASHBACK EXT. PATHWAY 9:40AM

The Masked People hand ADAMS phone over to him and he checks
to see if there is any charge in it but it is still dead.
ADAM HUNTER
I can't remember what happened to
me...
WHITE MASKED PEOPLE
...
The White Masked People then point to a hill in the distance
which will eventually lead ADAM back to society.
Whilst walking back Adam keeps having flashbacks of the night
and has a scared look on his face but carries on anyway.

EXT. HILL
ADAM is stood on top of a hill looking into what he hopes to
be his home town and goes to thank the White Masked People
but they are no where to be seen. ADAM is confused and starts
to remember that they were never there
Shots playing of ADAM surviving on his own and the white
masked people were never real showing that when someone helps
another person in their mind but they are not really present,
they play a supportive role in ADAMS thoughts or imagination,
providing comfort, motivation, or inspiration. The impact of
these individuals can be significant and meaningful to the
person, regardless of their physical presence in their life.
ADAM smiles and slowly walks into the town and credits begin
to roll...
