birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who is known as the father of the
Indian Constitution. Ambedkar Jayanti falls on April 14th every year and is a
national holiday in India.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was born on April 14th, 1891, in a small town called Mhow
in Madhya Pradesh, India. He was born into a family of Dalits . Despite facing
discrimination and hardships, Ambedkar went on to become a renowned
scholar, jurist, and social reformer, who fought for the rights of Dalits and other
marginalized communities. Ambedkar played a key role in drafting the Indian
Constitution and was instrumental in ensuring that it included provisions for
the protection of the rights of Dalits and other marginalized groups.

On Ambedkar Jayanti, people across India pay homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by
organizing various cultural and social events. Processions, public meetings, and
seminars are organized to commemorate his life and work. On this day, the
Indian government also pays tribute to Ambedkar by organizing various events
and programs
