PRODUCTION ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY

Stitching Department

 Increase productivity
 Cutting down wastage and disposal alternatives.
 Improve process flow (people & machine)
 Minimize repairs by understanding reasons of issues.
 Introduce SOPs.

Printing & Embroidery Department

 Introduce and set up SOPs.


 Aim to reduce defects and poor quality.
 Increase efficiency.
 Reduce costs in terms of ink & thread consumption and other variables.
  Introduce material handling procedures of production floor.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Analyse all production plans and evaluate all downtime against plans.
 Plan, manage and oversee all production processes within the company.
 Design and implement cost-reductive changes.
 Maximise productivity of machinery and workers.
 Assess and analyse current production methods.
 Increase speed and efficiency of processes and ensure all steps of production
processes run efficiently.
 Develop and implement quality control measures in all manufacturing units.
 Recommend improvements on production processes to optimise efficiency
 Liaising with the CEO and line managers to develop plans that improve production,
costs, and labour required.
 Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and
training.
 Review and analyse root cause inefficiencies within the manufacturing processes and
provide recommendation on how efficiency can be enhanced.
 Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data; making
recommendations and following through for continuous improvement initiatives.
 Engage with quality and production teams regarding manufacturing processes,
seeking resolution to issues that meet both the Company and customer’s
expectations.
 Develop SOPs to be used on all manufacturing processes.
 Evaluate manufacturing process and making recommendations improving efficiency
while reducing waste.
