Hi !
Are you passionate about caring for others? Maybe you’re looking toward a career
in healthcare or public service? The College of Liberal Arts could have the
perfect addition to prepare you for a meaningful career.
The College of Liberal Arts offers majors that will complement your health
interest with relevant communication skills. Work with healthcare providers and

Here at CLA, we know you’re more than just one thing. That’s why we created our
unique Degree+ program where you can explore the option of having two
majors; one in another Purdue college and one in the College of Liberal Arts. You
may consider adding a major in Sociology, Political Science, or Global
Studies, like our grads below:

Chloe Edwards, 2020 graduate, majored in both
Sociology (College of Liberal Arts) and Developmental
Family Sciences (College of Health and Human
Sciences). Her goal was to help low socioeconomic
communities through achieving equal justice, and her
combination of majors helped her to do just that.
The College of Liberal Arts allows you to customize your education with all of
your passions, especially with the Degree+ program. We also offer a variety of
majors with our Degree in 3 program, structured to help you graduate in three
years so you can continue onto graduate school or the workforce as soon as

Hi !
When you hear the word “research,” do you think of science labs and chemical
reactions? With the College of Liberal Arts, you can create your own
definition of research, whether that be in the lab, at an archaeological dig, or on
the Senate floor.
Anna Adamsson, Global Studies graduate, jumped on
research opportunities early and was a paid research
assistant with the Purdue Policy Research Institute,
where she was able to conduct research and present
at a research conference in Washington D.C.
The College of Liberal Arts also offers a unique Degree+ to all Purdue students,
which makes combining a major from any other college with CLA easy and
accessible.
All science and tech fields need more communicators who can understand and
relay information to wider audiences. If this interests you, you may consider
adding on a Communication major with a concentration in Communication of
Science and Technology, or a Professional Writing major with a focus on
Technical Writing.
Here at CLA, we make it easy to combine all of your interests into your academic
experience so you can make the most out of your time at Purdue. Want to learn
more? Come schedule a visit with us at the College of Liberal Arts today!
