Ancient Greece Polis

(city state)
With your group, you will create a banner to represent your polis. You must display
your polis pride - as this will represent your team during competitions. it must have
color, and hand written/drawn (do not print images from the internet!)

Items that must be included on your polis banner are:

1. Your polis name written in ancient Greek /5
2. Your polis’ location on a map /5
3. Your polis’ symbol/coin /5
4. The type of government your polis uses /5
5. two things your polis is known for: /10
a. well known statues
b. The god or goddess they worship
c. What they traded or known to have traded
d. Their architecture/buildings

Polis chant
1. Must utilize words that represent your polis
2. Must have some type of beat/rhythm
3. Everyone must have a part or/participate
4. Cannot be more than 30 seconds long
