Egypt (plan of 2030)
Main Title:
Smart Environmental and Technological Hub
Egypt Vision 2030 is a unified long-term political, economic, and social vision. It was developed in
alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The vision sets a target to
reduce greenhouse gases (GHGs) by 10% from the energy sector, including oil and gas, by 2030 compared
to 2016 levels. This goal of mitigating pollution risk and climate change was emphasized by hosting the
COP27 few months ago.
Numerous initiatives were made in Egypt by the American University and Ain Shams University. The
environmental centers were aimed to connect effective actors within the Egyptian community to mitigate
climate change.
Beni-Suef University takes main role towards the achievements of such goal. The university is making many
protocols with the ministry of environment and variety of organizations. The university launched many
initiative in this regard, such as ‘towards green manufacturing’, please see URL below, which calls for the

Therefore, the graduation project this year is to design a City

of Environmental Sciences and Technology. Main
components of the project:
- Environmental Studies Center.
- Renewable Energy Research Center.
- Technology Hub.
Project Components:

• Every research center houses 200 researchers dedicated to delivering emerging solar, hydrogen,
biofuel and wind technologies to the mainstream marketplace.
• Computer and research laboratories in every building.
• Administrative building that includes conference and exhibition facilities.
