Planning a Party Project

You are planning your own 8th grade graduation party. You get to decide where it will be (the venue), what food
you will serve, what the entertainment will be, and how many of each decoration you will have. For each decision
(you have 4) you will write the system of equations, graph it in DESMOS, solve algebraically using substitution or
elimination, verify your solution. Final work will be submitted in a Power Point format with screen shots of each
graph and systems of equations as well as your choice of vendor. Below is a template to help you begin to
organize. This template will be submitted along with your power point to show your algebraic solutions and
verification.

Food Decorations
Dominos caters for $12 per person, which includes Helium balloons cost $2.50 each and streamers are
pizza and sodas. Chipotle will cater for $15 per $1.25 each. Your decorations budget is $100 and the
person and charges a $20 catering fee. This includes decoration package includes a maximum of 50
soda, burritos, chips and salsa. Who will you choose decoration items. How many balloons and how
to cater AND how many people will you invite? many streamers do you want to have for the party?
**(Consider your venue budget as well!)
2.50x + 1.25y = 100
y = 12x + 30 x + y = 50
y = 15x + 10

Venue Entertainment
