The Giver Alternate Ending

When Jonas crossed the barrier that would bring back all the memories, Jonas was
shocked because nothing happened. He was confused because his plan didn’t work perfectly,
Jonas with a feeling of despair slowly saw Gabriel who was shivering in the cold in the middle of
nowhere, and with the remaining strength he had, he walked to find shelter. After he walked for
167 meters, Jonas finally found a wooden house. Without thinking Jonas immediately ran to the
house. When he was running to the house, he suddenly stepped on a trap and an arrow pierced
his thigh, luckily Gabriel was fine. With a dim vision, Jonas saw a mysterious old man who was
coming out of the house. And he was surprised to see Jonas who was being pierced by an arrow
and Gabriel who lay limply covered in snow. The mysterious old man immediately rushed to
pick up Gabriel and pulled Jonas into the house.
After a while, Jonas finally woke up and he saw that his leg was neatly wrapped in
bandages. The mysterious old man offered Jonas a hot chocolate and the old man said “Drink it,
you’ve gone through something you shouldn’t have gone through Jonas.” Jonas replied with a
high tone "Who are you, where is my brother and how do you know my name!?" The old man
answered “Relax, your brother is sleeping near the fireplace. My name is Adam and I’m the one
who predicts you’ll be the strongest receiver of memory.” Jonas replied with a shocked
expression "How are you still alive?? Isn't that book written a long time ago?” Adam said calmly
“Jonas... have you ever heard of Project Extinction? I am the robot that your predecessors
assigned to prevent the loss of history. But when the elders found out about my purpose, I was
thrown here by them.” Adam explained to Jonas the bad and the good about his community.
Jonas asked Adam for help to restore memory. Adam told Jonas that he must return to the
receiver's home and there he will find a secret room. And in it, there is a button to restore the
memory. Adam said to Jonas “Hurry up and go with Gabriel, this door will take you there.” Jonas
who was carrying Gabriel hastily rushed to the receiver's house and thanked Adam for
everything he did for him. When Jonas and Gabriel arrived there, suddenly the Chief Elder, the
Giver, and his friends were already there. The Chief Elder suddenly pointed a gun at Fiona and
Asher and she said she would shoot them if Jonas wouldn't give up. Without hesitation, the Giver
and Jonas pointed a gun at the Chief Elder and finally, she lowered her weapon. After that Jonas,
the Giver, and Gabriel went to the secret room.
The secret room suddenly opened because it detected the DNA from the last receiver of
memory, Gabriel. When Jonas pressed the button in the room, nothing happened. Jonas had
almost given up because he had failed for the second time. But the Giver put his hand, Jonas, and
Gabriel on the button and they pressed it together. After they pressed it, a wave of energy
appeared that restored all memories. At last, the Giver became the leader of the community, asher
became the commander of the air force, and Fiona and Jonas are officially engaged. And does
their story only end here? Of course not, the Giver created a special team that seeks to restore the
memory of other communities around the world.
