Analysis and Interpretation:


The table shows the information about the performance of 84 Grade 7 learners in Cookery. Among
the learners, 44 or 52.38 % were able to achieve or exceed the Minimum Proficiency Level, while 40 or
47.62 % did not achieve the minimum proficiency level. The data also revealed that female learners
performed better than male learners, with 55.77 % of female learners achieving or exceeding the
minimum proficiency level, compared to only 46.88 % of male learners. These statistics provide insight
into the level of proficiency of Grade 7 learners in Cookery and highlight the need for targeted least
competencies to improve the performance of male learners.
