The given matter should be favorable and adequate enough for the person to describe

something as good. It is often linked to other words that describe positivity. In the ethical
sense, the word ‘‘good’’ is perceived as something that should prevail. In other words, it
conforms to the favorable moral aspects of life.

The use of extensive research via internet played a crucial role in coming up with the definitions
mentioned above. As a byproduct of the data gathering and browsing websites that contain
different meanings to the aforementioned word, I was able to brainstorm and give my own
meaning to the word.

Good is the word we use to describe when something favorable happens. For example, when
the test results came and the score that came up was pretty great, we can call it good. It is
because positivity was contained. Another example is when we follow tutorials and all the
instructions in trying to cook a new dish. If it tastes pleasant, or when it meets the desired
taste, then it’s considered good. When we left our belongings somewhere else and a person
who retrieved it from where we left it makes an effort to return our things, s/he is considered
as someone good for they have done something commendable. Instead of taking possession of
our left belongings, they did what they thought was right according to the moral conscience.
Their very deed of choosing the right choice meant that goodness dominated the thought of
keeping the object to one’s self, hence, it prevailed evil just like what the moral ethics has
described it to be.

In conclusion, the word ‘‘good’’ gives a resemblance to positivity or the well-being of a

particular matter. It radiates a vibe of peacefulness that creates harmony in us. It is also an
overused word that could be replaced with well, correct, favorable, commendable, justifiable,
satisfactory, and many others. It is an adjective that people use to describe the person, thing,
place or event that took place which is favorable for them. It is one of the very known words in
the English language that makes people feel ecstatic and relieved.
