Sir Winston Churchill once said “You make a living by what you get.

You make
a life by what you give.” Volunteering gives you an opportunity to change not
only people's lives, but also your own.

In the first place, It is a rewarding experience. For instance you will help
society. By giving up a few hours of your day to clean up the local park, you
may bring some happiness in some child's life. Or if you provide shelter and
warmth to a family who lives on the streets by helping to build them a home.
As a result you may feel more useful for the community.

Second, you get lots of work experience. This can help you to find out what you
could enjoy doing in the world of working. Also, It helps you try new things, build
new skills and gain some confidence in different areas. In this way you can find
a job more easily.

However, the volunteering is unpaid. Usually this is for people who want to
help the community or to do something usefully. This means that you can only
earn experience.

In conclusion, volunteering is a good way to contribute to your community and

at the same time to develop yourself.
