TITLE:The Old Me

FORMAT DESCRIPTION:This show will be a serial with 10 episodes

LOGLINE: As a retired assassin trying to start a new life, John sparks

a new relationship with a single mother that’s on the run from her ex-
abuser.

ONE PARAGRAPH OF TASTY DESCRIPTION SETTING OUT THE WORLD:

This romantic thriller takes place in 2022. This series takes place in
a small town in Columbia, Tennessee. Summer is near and the world is
slowly starting to come back to it’s normal self following the covid-19
pandemic. The town is normally quiet but for some individuals chaos is
near. This series will be filled with dramatic experiences from start
to finish.

CHARACTER BIOGRAPHIES:
John: A retired assassin mid 30s Samoan male from Orlando, Florida who
is looking to start a new life in a quiet town. He has an alcholic
which helps him deal with the terror from the past twenty years. He’s
quiet, corny, laid back, romantic, and trained to kill. He is
impatient, especially when he feels threatened. Quick to fall in love
and hard to move on. A 6’4 muscular appearance with an old man style.
Karla: A single mother in her late 20s from Dallas Tx. She is a
beautiful black woman with a sweet 17 year old daughter. She lives with
caution knowing her ex-abuser is always looking for her and her
daughter. She is the strongest 5’3 woman in the city living on her own.
She’s independent, she has trust issues, she’s over protective, she’s
bold, she’s fierce, she’s a great mother. Her dream is to be able to
know that her family can live in peace.
Leah: The daughter of Karla. She is a talented vocalist who sings
whenever she gets the chance. She loves pageants and competes in every
one whenever her mom has free time. She’s a tough girl but she has a
sweetheart. She is observant so she asks a lot of questions. She is
into astrology and how people interact with each other. Doesn't have
many friends since she’s constantly on the move so she keeps a diary to
catalog her adventurous life.
Sam: Karla ex-abuser. 6’1 lean male from . Dominant traits. He is
aggressive, a narcissist, an addict, and ex-con. He lives in pain but
has no way to control it. There is no sense of control whenever he
arrives on scene.

Episode Outline:
1. Pilot- Flashback to John's past career that transitions to the
present. John meets Karla at the deli and she shows him around
town. Sam confronts Karla after John leaves.
2. Remember Me- John asked Karla about the guy that confronted her
the other day. Karla tells him everything is fine, just a minor
problem. John has a near death encounter with someone from the
past. Sam creates havoc at Karla's house.
3. Carnival- John goes to the carnival with Karla and Leah. John
notices he is being watched so he takes Karla to a safe place.
Karla becomes terrified of John once he let’s her know that he has
been watching her.
4. Survival- Karla and Leah prepare for a pageant when they run into
unknown trouble. John kills an informant and realizes that he has
put both of them in more danger.
5. Move On- John confronts Sam to stay away for his own safety. John
lets her know that she is no longer safe alone and asks her to
move in with him. Karla stays where she is at.
6. Manhunt pt 1- John receives a call from an unknown number that
reveals that Leah has been taken at school. John goes on search to
save Leah
7. Manhunt pt 2- Karla follows John and watch him safe Leah
 8. No Regrets- Karla flees town to stay away from danger and runs
into Sam. Sam takes both of them home and John follows
9. Betrayal- John kills Sam for attacking Karla
10. Chaos - Karla has to decide how she responds to John killing
Sam. Leah has a panic attack. John takes care of everything which
leaves Karla to question everything she knows about John

Main Story Arc

John: John moves to a new small town in hope of starting a new life.
However, his past life hunts him down and a massacre comes along with
it. He wants to be with a woman that she cares for but realizes that he
has put her in danger. To become a better man he must eliminate his
enemies before losing the love of his life
Karla: Karla wants to be able to live in peace with her daughter when a
genuine smile brings a raft of danger. She has to decide how to respond
to the tactics of John while trying to remove an ex-abuser out of her
life
Leah: Leah is the peacemaker between Karla and John when she develops a
close bond with John. She is inspired to be the lead role in her
upcoming school musical but must deal with a new life that she has no
way of escaping.
Sam: Sam is on course for revenge to take back what was stolen from
him. He wants to get his daughter back but Karla prevents that. With
John on the scene he tries to get Karla back but that’s also a
challenge. He moves with anger that ends up with tough decisions to
make.
Episode One - The Breakdown
The show starts off with a flashback to one of John’s missions while he
was on duty. At the end of the mission it fades into the present of him
walking into a deli. John's eyes fall on Karla and introduces himself.
They get to know each other while Karla takes John around town. Karla
loses time while spending the day with Sam and receives a call from
Leah saying Sam is home. John notices how scared Karla is so he follows
her after she says she has to go home. John discovers that there are
problems going on at home.
The Central Message: This series will show you how people fall back
into their old ways by trying to be someone new. Every character wants
to forget the past but the past always finds a way to make a way in
their life. Each character lives off the mentality this is the “Old Me”
and I’m no longer this person. This show is a thriller that will keep
the viewer on edge by trying to predict what each charter will do. In
order to be the person you want to be, don’t live with regrets.
