My interest in Capital markets sparked when I was specialising in the field of business in my high school.

For someone who has not directly been a part of the market by investing, it seemed overwhelming at
first. However, on realising the importance of these numbers in the economy, how they help individuals
grow their personal wealth, and the way institutions/organizations involved in these trading activities
run our global economy, I began participating in investment-based competitions, collecting diverse
experiences, and frequently following up with the market events.

Currently, Canada has a bullish economy and has been a favourable investment market domestically and
internationally. With more people migrating to the country, there has been more money flowing in the
market. Working in the Capital Market requires one to have a deep knowledge of the financial market
system, and be an effective listener and communicator, who pays strong attention to details which would
help understand and predict market trends wisely. On getting exposure to the real-world opportunities, I
found these traits in myself along with a great zeal to learn from investors with years of experiences.

I was also offered a chance to be part of the capital markets by working at the London Currency
Exchange and study a financial planning course at my university, often referred to as ‘Becoming a
Millionaire 101’. Both academically and professionally, I learn something new and different everyday,
which makes me confident about my career plans. Being a responsible and disciplined individual who
recognises the functioning of capital markets, a career in this field would allow me to win the trust of the
public, provide them with best personalised information, and help them analyse the associated risks.
Above all, this career would make each day exciting, motivating me to work for the investors.
