GEOTHERMAL

• Comes from the greek word "geo" that means earth

and
"therme" that means temperature.
• Is the heat that stored deep within the Earth that
originates from the melted magma and the decay
of
radioactive substances.
Ex 1)
found in the areas around plate borders where
most
volcanic eruptions and earthquake happens
Ex . 2)
areas with active volcanoes have high geothermal energy
system
GEOTHERMAL ENERGY IS IN GENERATED IN 2
WAYS :
1.) Geothermal Power Plants
It is where heat within the
earth changes water into
steam (water in the gas
phase) which turn steam
turbines that generate
electricity.
GEOTHERMAL ENERGY IS IN GENERATED IN 2
WAYS :
2.) GEOTHERMAL HEAT PUMPS
It removes the heat from
the fluid, in the earth
connection it and then
concentrates
transfer it to the building

CONCLUSION/SUMMARY
• GEOTHERMAL ENERGY IS ENERGY STORED DEEP WITHIN
THE EARTH THAT CAN BE GENERATED TO ELECTRICITY.
• IT CAN BE GENERATED IN TWO WAYS :
1. GEOTHERMAL POWER PLANT
2. GEOTHERMAL HEAT PUMP
• IT HAS GRCONTRIBUTION ON OUR SOCIETY,
ENVIRONMENT, AND TO US, HUMAN BEINGS.
