The Sri Lankan government allocated LKR 30 million in 2021 to assist those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Funds were used to:
1) Provide LKR 15 million for livelihood assistance programs including LKR 2 million for agricultural programs, LKR 2 million for small business assistance, and LKR 1 million for fisheries assistance.
2) Allocate LKR 15 million for medical assistance programs including LKR 8 million for treatment of Covid-19 patients and LKR 5 million for increasing hospital capacity.
