students at the beginning of the 1st Semester. Students
will get an opportunity to build their leadership and
organizational skills and work together as a group in a
relaxed environment.

Organizational Structure Training (OST)

The organizational structure training ensures that students get to

experience being in an organization. As a part of the OST,
students can choose to visit any organization of their choice and
complete 30 hours of training which would help them get
acquainted with the functioning of an organization.

OST has to be completed during the course of the 1st semester

and the report has to be submitted at the end of the first
semester. The training can either be done online or in a face-to-
face mode depending on the requirements of the organization.
At the end of their training students will submit a report as per
the guidelines. The OST will ensure that our MBA graduates gain
practical knowledge of the working of an organization.
Live Projects

Similar to the OST, live projects require students to

work with a company and be involved in its

functioning. The students are required to start with

their live projects immediately after their 1st semester

and can choose to do these either online or offline.

The projects need to be a minimum of 15 hours and

the reports have to be submitted within a month,

after the beginning of the 2nd semester.

Cross Functional Courses (CFC)

student at CAIAS. MBA students will take up different cross-
functional certificate courses which are not a part of their
chosen specialization, in their second and third semester.
These are 35 hours offline courses offered by the
Department of Management Studies in collaboration with
partner institutions. The following courses will be offered in
the two semesters.

Social Immersion

Management is an art and a science, it is with this

vision that the MBA program at CAIAS aims at
helping its students develop an acute sense of
responsibility and sensitivity towards the society that
they are a part of. As a part of the social immersion
program, the 1st and 3rd semester MBA students will
be a part of a one-day visit to either an orphanage
and/or any NGO to interact with different people and
understand their ways of life. These will ensure that
students are exposed to different perspectives from
all walks of life.

Certification on Specialization (Online Mode)

CAIAS ensures that our MBA graduates excel in their fields of

specialization. MBA students should do mandatory certificate

courses in their 4th semester, based on their area of

specialization. These courses should be taken from any

recognized MOOC or digital platforms such as SWAYAM, NPTEL,

etc. Students will have to complete a minimum of 1 certificate

course of 8 weeks duration.

about academic intelligence. The mission of the MBA
program at CAIAS is to nurture individuals to become
responsible members of society.
The Holistic Development classes aim at helping
students develop the skills of self-awareness, self-
management, & self-development with a curriculum
exclusively designed by faculty at CAIAS. These classes
will be held for 1 hour every week as a part of the
regular timetable.

Competency Development Sessions

all MBA students to train their juniors on several corporate
soft skills. These classes will be conducted by the final year
MBA students for their juniors and all undergraduate
students and will be monitored by the faculty. Like the
holistic development classes, these classes will also be
conducted once a week for one hour which will be included
in the regular timetable.

To provide a holistic learning environment to

our MBA students, the 3rd-semester students
will be a part of a 2-day education trip organized
by the Department of Management Studies.

the state of Karnataka and will be designed in
alignment with the academic goals of the MBA
program.
