Activity
1. Students will use a comic book creator to introduce members of their family,
favorite activities, and personality traits which will later be presented to the
class.
2. To complete Unit 2, students will sign into Pixton.com accounts that have been
pre-created by the teacher.
3. Students will need to create between 6-10 separate boxes. At least one
sentence of dialogue will need to be included in each box.
4. Students can use any vocabulary they learned in Unit 1 but must include new
vocabulary from Unit 2. There is no limit on how much new vocabulary must
be used, but the dialogue should be focused around the new vocabulary.
5. GRAMMAR: Students will need to include one use of each conjugation of the
verb ‘Ser’ (Yo soy, tú eres, ella es…) to describe personalities of the family
members.
6. GRAMMAR II: Students will also need to include one form of each of the
indirect object pronouns with the verb ‘Gustar’ (Me, te, le…).
7. Students are encouraged to collaborate with each other on various and
creative ways to tell their story. Students may use their textbook and notes to
complete this activity. Google Translate is not allowed.
8. Teacher will help to direct students to make sure adequate vocabulary is used
as well as the grammar criteria.
9. Students will have two blocks to create their project. After that, the following
two blocks will be used to practice oral presentation skills. Each student will
take turns presenting their project to the class and reading out loud the
dialogue.
10. NOTE: Students may make up family members. Students are encouraged to be
as creative as they wish but must use their time wisely.
11. NOTE II: Students are greatly encouraged to share their culture to amplify
diversity.

be used correctly. Students are encouraged to ask peers to double check their
work for any mistakes.

to accurately follow the requirements of the project.
