REPORT SUMMARY
● Major Constitutional reform underway.
Under the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for
2022-2026 major constitutional reforms are scheduled
to be implemented. A dedicated National Commission
for Constitutional Reforms has been set up to oversee
the process.
● Uzbekistan introduced obligatory income and
property ownership declaration by Civil Servants.
The first ever law regulating this subject approved by the
Senate of Oily Majlis of Uzbekistan in May (upper
Chamber of Uzbekistan’s Parliament).
● President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan concludes
official visit to Uzbekistan.
The visit marks one of the most successful inter-
government interactions between the two counties in
decades. In total, USD 1 billion worth of trade-economic,
investment, and economic projects announced to be
implemented between the two counties in the following
years. A symbolic declaration of “permanent friendship
and alliance” was also signed by the two Presidents.
● President of Uzbekistan joins the Supreme Eurasian
Economic Council (EAEU) Online Summit. In his
statement, no mention of potential interest in full
membership in EUEU was mentioned, while emphasis
was made on further removal of trade-barriers and
enhancement of cooperation with the EAEU particularly
on issued related to Central to South-Asia transport
corridors.
● VEON Investment to Accelerate the Digitalization of
Uzbekistan. The success of Uzbekistan’s WTO
application will be influenced by the digitalisation of the
economy of Uzbekistan, which is striving to become one
of the technological leaders in Central Asia.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Obligatory declaration of income and property by
public servants adopted by State legislature.
In a major move to combat corruption and improve civil
service accountability and transparency, Uzbekistan’s
Senate has approved a new law that will require all civil
servants to declare all their income and property, and
prevent them having any bank accounts or property outside
of Uzbekistan. The law also introduces new principles of
ethics and certain cases of conflicts of interest.
The law will enter into force three months after it is signed
by the President of the country.

The first deputy head of the Senate calls for more
accountability of the executive branch and more
direct oversight and involvement from legislative
branch of government in Uzbekistan
The first deputy head of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Sadyk
Safayev, noted that current reforms are difficult to execute,
due to the administrative methodology of their
development, saying that new laws should put more focus
on correctly representing the interests of the people. The
need for facilitating accountability and transparency among
the government officials remains a key objective that needs
more attention from lawmakers. Safayev also urged for the
development of laws that can directly impact on the issues
at hand. The first deputy also spoke about the growing
need to adapt Uzbekistan’s foreign policy in light of the
radical changes taking place worldwide.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central
Asian Affairs Donald Lu visits Tashkent
The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan
Vladimir Norov met with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of
State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu on the
24th of May in Tashkent. During the meeting Uzbekistan
and the US have confirmed their intentions to continue
cooperation within the framework of the C5+1 format. The
importance of careful preparation for the next session of the
Strategic Partnership Dialogue in Washington and its
industry meetings at the expert level was emphasized.

Uzbekistan has set up a National Commission for
Constitutional Reforms and held its first meeting
Established at a joint meeting of the Senate and the
Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the commission has
46 lawmakers and senators and is chaired by First Deputy
Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis,
Akmal Saidov. The National Commission for Constitutional
Reforms in Uzbekistan is tasked with amending the
Constitution of Uzbekistan. The idea "society is the initiator
of reforms" shall serve as the basis for their work. Following
the establishment of the commission, 6 main tasks were
identified. Shortly, the preparation of the draft amendment,
based on state data, expert opinion, and public proposals,
and work on other legal acts and appeals from the public
on constitutional rights violations.
On the 26th of May the Commission held its first meeting.
During the meeting the work, its working groups, their work
composition, and the priorities of the commission were
discussed. Attention was made to the involvement of the
public in the process.

US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas
West visits Uzbekistan
On May 26-28, an American delegation led by US Special
Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West has visited
Uzbekistan for talks with Deputy Secretary of the National
Security Council A.Kamilov, acting Minister of Foreign
Affairs, V.Norov, and Uzbekistan’s Special Envoy on
Afghanistan, I.Irgashev. Further details of talks not

Uzbekistan establishes diplomatic relations with Saint
Vincent and Grenadines
The permanent representatives of the two countries to the
UN signed a joint communiqué on the establishment of
diplomatic relations with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines,
a state in the southern part of the Caribbean. Following the
event, it was agreed to maintain close communication on a
bilateral and multilateral level.

The 7th meeting of the Uzbek - Hungarian
Intergovernmental Commission on Economic
Cooperation held on May 4th
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister –
Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade and attended by
the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, heads
of key ministries, agencies, industry associations, and
regional representatives. The development of a joint
Industrial Cooperation Program for 2022-2023, further
promotion of the Uzbek-Hungarian Start-up Program for
financing joint investment projects, and strengthening of
regional ties under the Interregional Cooperation
Agreement were considered. In addition, a number of
agreements to improve social ties, preliminary agreements
on the implementation of joint investment projects, and a
joint Forum of Regions in Uzbekistan were set during the

Uzbekistan and Latvia discuss the prospects of
cooperation in field of external labour migration on the
12th of May
A delegation of the Agency for External Labour Migration
of Uzbekistan met with chairman of the Latvian
Confederation of Employers Andris Bite. The
implementation of the “roadmap” that was adopted during
the visit of Latvia’s Foreign Minister in February was
discussed. In addition, cooperation in the recruitment of
Uzbek citizens and legal external labour migration from
Uzbekistan were considered and it was agreed to sign a
relevant Memorandum.

Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister held a meeting
with Advisor to the Chairman of the Italian Senate in
Rome
Inter-parliamentary cooperation, in particular, the mutual
study of parliamentarism in public administration and law-
making were discussed. Both parties have set plans for
signing a Memorandum of Cooperation to establish closer
ties and set foundation for future forums and conferences.

The Venice Commission and Uzbekistan organized an
international conference about public administration
The “Modernisation of the Public Administration in Central
Asia and respect of the Rule of Law Principles” conference
was held on the 12-13th of May. Financed by the European
Union and the Council of Europe, the event brought
together experts from Central Asia and Europe. The rule of
law principles and the challenges and developments in
public administration were discussed.

Bashkortostan delegation arrived on official visit to
Uzbekistan
The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov was met by
the chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan,
Murat Kamalov at the Nukus airport. During his visit
meeting with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla
Aripov, the chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of
Karakalpakstan, head of Uzbek enterprises, and the
Khokim of the Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov were
held. USD 200 million worth of agreements and intentions
and memorandum of cooperation between the national
libraries of Bashkortostan and Uzbekistan were signed.

Azerbaijani President meets the Speaker of Legislative
Chamber of Uzbekistan`s Oliy Majlis in Baku
The Azerbaijani side emphasized the developments in the
transport and investment spheres, proposing the launch of
transport corridors and joint projects. The President also
proposed to continue cooperating under the UN, OSCE,
Organization of Turkic States, and other international
organizations.

Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan discusses issues of
development of cooperation in priority areas
First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of
Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with the Advisor to the
Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Emil Majidov to discuss
a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues. During the
meeting it was agreed to hold a Joint Intergovernmental
Commission on Cooperation between Uzbekistan and
Azerbaijan and the Business Council in the second half of
2022 in Tashkent.

Special Representative of Uzbek President meets with
Ambassador of Germany
Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for
Afghanistan Ismatilla Irgashev has met with the
Ambassador of Germany Tilo Klinner to exchange views on
the current situation in Afghanistan and the development of
Uzbek-German relations in the Afghan direction. Among
the ongoing the Afghan transport-communication projects,
the “Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar” railway line in
particular was discussed.

Uzbekistan took part at the annual high-level Political
and Security Dialogue held in Brussels
On the 17th of May the 9th round of the annual EU-Central
Asia High-level Political and Security Dialogue was held in
Brussels Hosted by the Deputy Secretary-General /
Political Director of the European External Action Service
(EEAS) the event was attended by Deputy Foreign
Ministers of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan,
Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. During the meeting the EU
reiterated its strong commitment to support the region,
despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Taliban takeover, and
Russia-Ukraine war. Also, willingness to cooperate in the
field of water management was expressed. At the end
discussions were held on the upcoming EU-Central Asia
High-level Conference on Connectivity.

The 10th round of political consultations between
Uzbekistan and Finland
On the 27th of May the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of
Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov and Director General of the
Department of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia of
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland Marja Liivala met
in Tashkent. Issues related to bilateral cooperation, in
particular investment, inter-parliamentary, trade and
economic diplomacy matters, were discussed. Prospects of
deepening ties in the education and research sectors, as
well as, within international organization, such as the Un
and EU, were considered as well.

Uzbekistan and Russia hold talks in Moscow
Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for
Afghanistan Ismatilla Irgashev met with his Russian
counterpart in Moscow for consultations.

Uzbekistan and Belgium eye to intensify bilateral ties

Deputy Foreign Minister Gayrat Fozilov met with Director
General for Bilateral Relations of the Belgian Foreign
Ministry Jeroen Kooreman in Brussels on the 18th of May to
discuss the untapped potential in the field of foreign trade
and investment. During another meeting with members of
the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament of
Belgium the prospects of deepening inter-parliamentary
ties, as well as, intensifying the activities of the Belgium-
Uzbekistan Friendship Group. During his visit to Belgium
Gayrat Fozilov also held talks with the head of EU’s
Directorate General for International Partnership in
Brussels.
To further intensify bilateral ties an agreement was reached
to hold the next round of political and inter-parliamentary
consultations between Uzbekistan and Belgium in the
second half of 2022 in Tashkent.

CENTRAL ASIA
President Emomali Rahmon visited Uzbekistan

The President of Uzbekistan welcomed President Emomali
Rahmon and members of Tajikistan delegation in the
beginning of June. A number of key events took place in
light of this visit:
● More than 70 documents worth USD 570 million
were signed between the two countries during the
Forum of Entrepreneurs that took place on the 1st
of June
● 10 documents between the nations’ departments,
ministries and governments, which strengthened
ties in such spheres as sericulture, environmental
protection, and anti-terrorism
● Trade agreements worth USD 258 million to
expand the foreign economic activity between the
businesses
● At the end of the high-level talks the Declaration on
strengthening eternal friendship and alliance was
signed by the heads of the two states.
In total, USD 1 billion worth of trade-economic, investment,
and economic projects will be implemented between
Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

2nd Central Asian Conference was held at the Valdai
Club
During the 17-18th of May a conference with the theme
"Russia — Central Asia: Cooperation and Development
Amid Instability" was held. Experts from Russia, India, Iran,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan and
Uzbekistan attended the event. Deputy Minister of Foreign
Affairs of Russia opened the event with the following
statistics:
● Trade between Russia and Central Asia in 2021
was USD 27 billion, a 30% increase
● Volume of Russian investments in Central Asia
reached USD 30.5 billion

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to Cooperate in Space
Exploration
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved
the intergovernmental decree between Kazakhstan and
Uzbekistan on space exploration. The related presidential
decree “On ratification of an international treaty” was
signed on the 10th of May. Under this agreement both
nations shall cooperate in space research, technology
development, and personnel training.

Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan
discuss topical issues in the development of bilateral
relations
Negotiations were held within the framework the Council of
Foreign Ministers of the CIS in Dushanbe. Agreements
reached during the 4th meeting of the Council of Heads of
the Border Regions were discussed. The issue of the
delimitation and demarcation of the Uzbek-Kygyz state
border was stressed.

Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan
discuss expanding trade and economic ties
The sides agreed to hold the 11th meeting of the Joint
Uzbek-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on
Cooperation and the next round of inter-MFA political
consultations in Tashkent this year. A firm commitment was
made to intensify humanitarian exchanges, hold cultural
events, and tourism projects.

A delegation of Uzbekistan took part in the 5th
Ministerial meeting "Central Asia - Russia"
On 22 April 2022, the 5th Ministerial meeting "Central Asia
- Russia" was held in the format of a videoconference. The
event was attended by representatives of the governments
of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan,
Tajikistan and Russia. The Republic of Uzbekistan was
represented by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of
Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov at a
videoconference.

Three Kyrgyz citizens killed near the Kyrgyz-Uzbek
border
A shooting took place on the 5th of May at the Uzbek-Kyrgyz
border of Uzbekistan’s Namangan region. Uzbekistan’s
border security service had identified a group of smugglers,
who, after a violent response to being arrested, were shot

● 4 million citizens from Central Asia moved to
Russian in a permanents basis
The Director of the Information and Analytical Center for
International Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
the Uzbekistan noted that Russia-Central Asia cooperation
and SCO are essential for ensuring socio-economic
stability and regional development. The Afghanistan crisis,
re-establishment of Russian supply chains, and methods
to circumvent sanctions. The “one belt, one road” initiative,
with a strong focus on Kazakhstan as a transit hub has
discussed as well.
As a result, the experts have listed a number of trends that
will significantly impact the region during the ongoing fourth
industrial revolution. Among them is the increasing value
of Afghanistan as a source of valuable materials and
distribution of specialists around the world.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with
newly elected President of UAE

Sheikh Muhammad Al Nahyan, President of the United
Arab Emirates, welcomed Uzbekistan’s President at the
Presidential Complex in Abu Dhabi. During his visit meeting
with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan
and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs
Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan took place. The expansion
of bilateral cooperation was discussed.

Meeting of the working group on Uzbekistan's
accession to the WTO will be held in June
The fifth meeting of the working group on Uzbekistan's
accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) will be
held on June 21-22 in Geneva. Uzbekistan applied for
WTO accession in 1994. The third meeting on the entry of
the Republic of Uzbekistan into the organization was held
in 2005, and the fourth meeting was held in July 2020. The
delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan was then headed
by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and
Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov.

People’s Diplomacy Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation
Organization (SCO) on the 11th of May, with “Public
Diplomacy – Mutual Understanding for the Sake of

diplomacy in the contemporary world and Uzbekistan’s
efforts as a member of SCO were discussed in a hybrid
format. After the two plenary sessions of the forum, the
Tashkent communiqué of the SCO people’s diplomacy - a

regional peace - was adopted.

On the 27th of May 2022 the EAEU held an online meeting,
which was chaired by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic
Sadyr Zhaparov and attended by the Presidents of
Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Cube, Prime
Minister of Armenia, and Chairman of the Board of the
Eurasian Economic Commission. Shavkat Mirziyoyev
noted that due to joint efforts, Uzbekistan’s trade turnover
with EAEU member increased by 30% in 2021 and by 33%
in 2022. Investments have grown as well by 25%. He then
called for the removal technical and documentation barriers
to further ease trade and initiation of joint production of food
products, specifically agricultural. In light of ongoing
events, the significance of establishing southern and
eastern transportation corridors, in particular the
Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan – China and trans-African railway
railways, and the importance to drive economic growth via
tourism were stressed.

LEGISLATIVE CHANGES
The Senate of the Oliy Majlis approved the Law “On
State Civil Service”.
The new law regulates the following norms:
● substitution of a public position on the basis of an
open competition;
● inadmissibility for a state civil servant of joint
service in one state body and organization with
persons who are close relatives or relatives from
the spouses;
● inadmissibility to engage in other paid activities,
including entrepreneurial, except for pedagogical,
scientific and creative activities;
● refusal to hire persons who have committed
crimes or involved in corruption cases;
● mandatory rotation of civil servants holding
positions with a high risk of corruption;
● a prohibition to receive from any remuneration,
benefits or gifts in exchange for the performance
or non-performance of official duties in the
interests of other persons;
● the requirement to declare income and property;
● a ban on opening and owning bank accounts
outside the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan,
as well as owning real estate and other property
abroad;
● conditions for compliance with the rules of ethics;
● refrain from actions that may lead to discrediting a
state body;
● prevention of the use of official position for
personal purposes;
● use of state property for anything other than
official purposes.
The law is aimed at the formation of the state civil service
without corruption, increasing the attractiveness of the
civil service and the confidence of citizens in the civil
service. It will enter into force three months after it is

Islamic Development Bank to allocate funds for
development of oncology services in Uzbekistan
The presidential decree “On measures to implement the
project “Modernization of oncology facilities in Uzbekistan
(Phase II)” with the participation of the Islamic
Development Bank” has allowed the use of the USD 80
million loan from the IsDB to finance the second phase of
the oncology modernization project. Based on the decree,
Uzmedimpeks LLC is the contractor and all expenses shall
be covered by Uzbekistan’s state budget. Also, the loan
repayment schedule, distribution of funds, and main
technical-economic indicators of the project were identified
in the legal document.

Order of payment for reporting tax offenses
established
According to the government resolution “On additional
measures to increase the effectiveness of public control in
trade and services” 1% of the value of goods (services)
purchased by citizens of Uzbekistan shall be returned to
the buyers as a cash-back. No cash-back shall be given to
expired, already scanned, transportation and utilities, and
suspicious receipts. Reporting tax violations shall be
subject to monetary rewards in the amount of 20% of the
imposed fine.

Labor migrants transferred more than USD1 billion to
Uzbekistan in April
During the January-April period of 2022 USD 2.54 billion
was transferred from abroad. Compared 2021’s USD 1.99
billion, remittances have increased by 27%. When
comparing April 2021 with April 2022 an 88% growth rate
can be observed. Currency demand and inflows from the
population during the 4-month period have also increased
by 64% and 53% respectively. However, data has shown

Salaries of doctors will be increased from the 1st of June
2022
The monthly salary of medical personnel in Uzbekistan will
increase by a further 15 percent, depending on the
qualification category. Prior, the head of the state
announced a 10% monthly wage increase for medical
workers, now there, depending on the qualifications of the
medical specials, an additional 15-25% raise is applicable.
Also, the Fund for the Promotion of Health Care Workers
will receive USD 136.3 million per year to reward
outstanding and young medical professionals.

Uzbekistan and Poland cooperate in field of intelligent
transport systems
The 14th Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems was
held in Poland. The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and
Tashkent State Transport University Attended the event.
Following the congress, the delegation of Uzbekistan and
the leadership of the Association of Intelligent Transport
Systems of Poland signed a Cooperation Agreement on
education. Also, as a result of the meeting at the State
Academy of Applied Sciences, an agreement was reached
on preparing for the signing of a bilateral Cooperation
Agreement, under which two free places will be allocated
annually for Uzbek students to study practical aviation and
control aircraft.

IT Park & EPAM establish a new online university in
Uzbekistan
IT Park University is being established in accordance with
the instruction of Uzbekistan’s President and the resolution
Cabinet of Ministers. The university program aims
providing education in IT where the process will be
arranged in a mixed format, mostly online, which will allow
students from all over the country to acquire education
without having to move to the capital city. Entrance
examinations kick off on June 25.

diseases among the population. In particular, more
screening coverage for the hepatitis types “B” and “C”,
support for citizens with a high hepatitis “B” infection
probability, and full coverage for patients diagnosed with
hepatitis “C”. Also, by the 1st of November 2022 a unified
electronic registry of chronic viral liver diseases is to be
established.

Smoking in public places is being fined in Tashkent
It should be noted that the ban on the use of tobacco
products has been in force in the country since 2015. For
smoking in public places, at work, healthcare and
educational institutions, inside an airplane and other
hazardous locations fines were introduced, however, these
rules have not been adhered to until now. Article 56-1 of
the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic
of Uzbekistan contains a detailed list of smoking
restrictions.

US will supply 6 containers of humanitarian aid to
Karakalpakstan

The initial 2 containers were shipped by Project C.U.R.E.,
a US charity organization, in early May 2022. The cargo,
worth USD 3 million and weighing 6 tons, was transported
via air transportation from Seattle, US, to Nukus.
The organization will supply another four containers of
humanitarian aid to Karakalpakstan via Georgia this June.
16.8 tons of medical equipment shall be handed over to the
health authorities of the region. 24 medical institutions shall
benefit from the donation.

Kuwaiti companies interested in increasing supply of

A delegation of the Uzbek pharmaceutical company
“Dentafill Plus” made a visit to Kuwait to hold negotiations
with the leadership of the Kuwaiti specialized medical
companies “Advanced Technology Company”, “Fursan Al
Khaleej” and “Leafin United for import medicines & medical
equipment co.”, as well as representatives of the
pharmaceutical industry. While “Fursan Al Khaleej” had
already imported USD 1 million worth of medical products
from “Dentafill Plus”, “Advanced Technology Company”
has decided to organize a visit to their facilities first and
“Leafin United for import medicines & medical equipment
co.” has agreed to continue contract negotiations.

Uzbekistan and Italy consider prospects for
cooperation in medical field
Agostino Gemelli University Hospital was identified as a
potential partner for cooperation with Karakalpakstan in the
areas of medical innovation, education, and treatment. The
clinic has 7 research departments and operates 8
specialized centers for medical research. The Italian
hospital and the Medical Institute of Karakalpakstan
reached an agreement was reached on cooperation in the
development of the Medical Institute of Karakalpakstan and
the recently established Children’s Clinic under it.

USAID hand over equipment worth USD 1.3 million to
ministry of health
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)
handed over urgently needed cold chain equipment and
computers to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan on the
30th of May. 671 refrigerators, 212 freezers, and 150
computers worth USD 1.3 million in total were shipped to
strengthen Uzbekistan’s national immunization system.

Switzerland, and has swiftly spead to over 14 countries.

Launched Green Hub platform designed to transition Experts provide information about most polluted water

During a press-conference under the theme “Actual issues

of hydrometeorology, climate change and environmental
monitoring and ways to solve them” Uzhydromet said that
only 10% of water facilities are classified as clean water.
The rest of the 90% have been classified as moderately
polluted (class 3) or polluted (class 4). Among them, the
Zeravshan, Chirchik, Salar rivers, Siyab, Shurozak and
GPSK collectors are the most polluted.

The Green Hub platform, launched by the Institute for
Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research under the
Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction
of the Uzbekistan, has been created to ensure sustainable
growth in light climate change and green trends. The event
was attended by representatives from the UN, EBRD, FDA,
and numerous researchers. The event has served as a
mitigate effects of climate change in Uzbekistan
During a meeting of the Senate Committee on
Development of the Aral Sea Region and Ecology the
Director General of the Uzhydromet Service Center
reported on the status of the short and medium term climate
change initiatives. Currently, 16 out of 51 tasks has been
accomplished.

for extreme climate change and anomalies in Uzbekistan.

The International tourism exhibition "Tashkent Travel “News from Central Asia” exhibition took place in
Mart 2022" was held in Tashkent Washington

During the 16-22nd of May in Washington, DC Central Asian

together to share inspirational works that reflect various

- Visit of Senior Delegation by the Eurasian Institute of Competitiveness (Belgium)

Event Details: Executive Director of the Eurasian Institute of Competitiveness (Belgium), Mr Alexei
Prazdnichnykh and the leading expert of the Institute Mr Alexander Idrisov, who, in particular, are
engaged in conducting educational programs to develop the competencies of leaders from the non-profit,
public and private sectors, visited the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the visit, meetings were organized
with representatives of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Agency for the
Development of Public Service under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of
