We hope you are ready to end the summer with a bang, because weve got an absolutely fantastic Labour Day Weekend planned for you! Saturday is everyones favourite day, as it is the 33rd Annual Parade of All Ages in the morning, the awesome Outdoor Cinema in the evening, and the Adult Dance at night. On Sunday we have the Horseshoe Tournament and then the ever popular Family Bingo. Last but certainly not least, is Staff vs. Campers Hockey on Monday on our outdoor hockey pad! For those of you who missed last Saturday, you missed a great night! The talents of The DuffleBag Theatre made for a fantastic show and we proudly crowned Mr. Lincoln Fraczek as the 2011 Happy Hills King and Ms. Sommer Lednicky as the 2011 Happy Hills Queen. Make sure you give them a big round of applause when they pass by you in the parade on Saturday morning! We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Grand Marshall for 2011 - Eddie Jacobs! Eddie came to Happy Hills Resort in 2001 and since has made his home in the Retirement Village. He has been organizing the horseshoe tournaments for Happy Hills for a number of years which are a great success. We have even convinced him to run the Staff vs. Campers tournament which is a very competitive event!! He is an avid golfer and has made the tee boxes found around the course to help maintain and keep it clean. Thank you Eddie for all you do ... you help make Happy Hills what it is today ... a great family park! Tickets to win the 2012 Complimentary Seasonal Site are being sold in the store for the low price of $2.00 a ticket. Be sure to stop by and pick one up, as the draw will take place this Saturday September 3rd at the Adult Dance. Just a reminder that alcohol is not to leave your site! This means there is to be no alcohol at the pool, on the golf course, riding the Happy Hills Express, on your golf carts or in the washrooms etc! Thank you for your cooperation and any questions about this should be directed to the office. It seems hard to believe that the summer is coming to a close. We would like to thank you all for another fantastic season; It is the campers who make Happy Hills Resort what it is! We hope you enjoyed your time here this summer, and we look forward to seeing all of you back next year! A big thank you goes out to all who were involved with the 4 on 4 hockey tournament last weekend! It was a great success. Also thanks to the campers who generously donated their empty alcoholic containers to help support the Happy Hills Youth and Ladies Golf events! Meet their Zookeeper Fred this afternoon at 2:15 to visit our fury friends. Please note that children 8 years and younger MUST be accompanied by an adult if they would like to feed the deer. The Parade will begin immediately following the judging, so be ready to go! **THE STORE WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE PARADE SO THE STAFF CAN PARTICIPATE** 10:45am PARADE STARTS!! Following the Parade please join us back at the Rec. Hall for the Parade Ceremonies! Brittany and Jacqueline will have a campfire ready for you to roast marshmallows so join them before and during the movie! Park your golf cart, bring a chair or sit back and relax on the bleachers provided while you enjoy our family flick! Just a kind reminder that if you're in a golf cart to park off to the side so not to block the view of anyone on the bleachers!
