Latency 70ms
The Costar Diamond T300 gets a unique design that we have rarely seen
in TWS earbuds in this price segment. As the name suggests, it has a
Diamond shape design with sharp corners. We found the sharp corners of
the case not much comfortable to hold.
The case is of standard size and takes up a bit of space in the jeans
pocket. On the top of the case is a Costar branding whereas, there is a
mini-LED charging indicator on the front. At the bottom is a Type-C port for
charging. The case has a matte finish and doesn’t attract fingerprints.
The earbuds carry the same diamond design language, where the end of
the stems is flat. They get fit easily in the ear with the proper in-canal fit and
feel lightweight. There are two extra ear tips of different sizes that you can
change based on your comfort. All the three ear tips are orange in colour
which carries the orange accent of the case from the inside. We used the
earbuds for long music and movie sessions and found them comfortable.
The Costar Diamond T300 TWS earbuds carry an IPX4 rating that protects
them from water splashes. We carried it amid the heavy rain in Kolkata’s
monsoon season. And they were still working well. However, we don’t
recommend putting them near a swimming pool or anything that has a
huge amount of water.
This mode just works fine on these earbuds, unless you are not too lost in
music or watching movies with full concentration, you will be able to hear
your surroundings with transparency mode on.
Most of the time, listen to music at 50-70 per cent volume indoors but they
can go loud. The sweet spot is the 60 per cent and anything above 80 per
cent is going to feel harsh on the ears.
The mic quality on the T300 is average. While using it for calls, the receiver
often asked why our voice was low. Since these earbuds have Active Noise
Cancellation, it helps to cut the background noise but still, in a noisy place,
you will face some difficulty while making calls mostly due to the fact the
receiver won’t be able to hear you properly.
Cons
• Average battery life.
• Poor mic quality.
• Misses out app support for tweaking audio or future firmware
updates.
