Work the various sizes as given in the Table.

Materials: Regia Alaska Color 8-faedig,

200 g #08942 yellow/lilac color. Five US 6-8 [4-5 mm]
dpn, or size to obtain gauge.

Start both socks with the same color motif!

Rib pattern: alt K2, P2.

Stockinette stitch: in rounds K all sts.

Garter stitch: *alt K 1 rnd, P 1 rnd (= 1 garter rib),

rep from * throughout.

Gauge:
with st-st 18 sts and 28 rnds, each to 4" [10 cm].

METHOD
With 4 dpn cast on 40 sts evenly across (see Table for
Cast on / sts per needle) and join to a rnd. Start and
end rnd at center of heel. For cuff work 5½" [14 cm] Rib
Patt (see Table for Height of Cuff). Then for center front
mark the last 2 sts on Needle 2 and the first 2 sts on
Needle 3. With st-st cont for upper foot. At the same
time, on every rnd work yo before and after each
marked st, and on foll rnd K yo tbl = 2 sts inc on every
rnd. After 21 rnds = about 3" [7.5 cm] st-st 42 sts have
been inc, with 82 sts on the needles (see No of sts af-
ter inc rnds). For sole cont with 22 rnds garter stitch =
11 garter ribs (see Sole: No of rnds / garter ribs), then
leave all sts on a holder. Slip sts on Needles 1 and
2 onto one needle, and sts on Needles 3 and 4 also
onto one needle. Then graft the sts on both needles
tog. Turn cuff half out. Work both socks alike.
