 Materials Needed:
Worsted weight / #4 yarn
DK weight / #3 yarn
3.5 mm hook
2.75 mm hook
Fiber fill stuffing
Yarn needle
Stitch marker
(2) 7 mm safety eyes
Measurements:
3 1/2 inches tall by 3 inches wide
Notes:
-The ( ) at the end of each round states
the total number of stitches that should
be completed for that round.
-Tension is not critical for this project. You
can use any yarn to make this amigurumi.
For example, if you use a smaller hook and
a suitable yarn, the amigurumi will be
smaller while maintaining the same
proportions.
Cake:
with 3.5 mm hook, and #4 white yarn, ch 2
Beginning at the top of the cake
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 total sts)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (12 total sts)
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rpt
from * until end of rnd (18 total sts)
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, rpt
from * until end of rnd (24 total sts)
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, rpt
from * until end of rnd (30 total sts)
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts, rpt

dc- double crochet

5 sts, rpt from * until end of rnd (36 total sts)
Rnd 19: *sc2tog, sc in next 4 sts, rpt from *
until end of rnd (30 total sts)

Rnd 20: *sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts, rpt from *
until end of rnd (24 total sts)
Rnd 21: *sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts, rpt from *
until end of rnd (18 total sts)
Stuff with fiber fill.
Rnd 22: *sc2tog, sc in next st, rpt from *
until end of rnd (12 total sts)
Rnd 23: sc2tog around (6 total sts)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
With yarn needle weave in and out of
remaining stitches to sew up the bottom
opening. Weave in end.
Frosting:
with 3.5 mm hook and #4 pink yarn
Rnd 1: ch 4, *yo, insert hook in 4th ch from
hook, draw loop through, yo, draw loop
through 1st 2 loops on hook, rpt from * 5
times total, yo, pull yarn through all 6 loops
on hook (1 puff made)
Rnd 2-12: repeat rnd 1, end last puff with a
sl st (12 total puff sts) Finish off, Repeat rnds
1-12 to make a second piece. Attach pieces to
the top and bottom of cake. See picture 1.
Strawberry:
with 2.75 mm hook and #3 red yarn, ch 4
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rpt
from * until end of rnd (9 total sts)
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, rpt
from * until end of rnd (12 total sts)
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, rpt
from * until end of rnd (15 total sts)
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts, rpt
from * until end of rnd (18 total sts)
Rnd 6: sc in each st around (18 total sts)
Rnd 7: *sc2tog, sc in next st, rpt from * until
end of rnd (12 total sts)
Stuff with fiber fill.
Rnd 8: sc2tog around (6 total sts)
Finish off and weave in and out of remaining
stitches to sew up the top opening. Weave
in end.
To make the stem use a 2.75 mm hook and
#3 green yarn. Ch 4, sl st in 1st ch to form a
circle, *ch 6, sl st in circle, rpt from * 6 times
total, finish off and attach to top of
strawberry.
