    The Office of the New York State Attorney General is hosting a gun buyback event in Syracuse, NY on April 29th from 10am to 3pm at St Lucy's Food Pantry. Individuals can receive $500 for assault rifles or ghost guns, $500 for the first handgun then $150 for each additional, $75 for rifles or shotguns, or $25 for non-working, replica, antique, homemade or 3D printed guns. Firearms must be unloaded and transported in the trunk of a vehicle in a plastic bag, paper bag or box. No identification is required and no questions will be asked of those surrendering firearms.

    Guns must be UNLOADED and placed

    How many firearms can I surrender?


    As many as you wish to provide.

    Can any member of the public surrender a gun?


    Licensed gun dealers, and active or retired law
    enforcement officers are not eligible for this program.

    Do I need any identification to turn in a firearm?


    No, this is an Amnesty program, and no questions
    are asked of the person dropping off the firearm.
