COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course covers introduction to the basic concepts and principles
of the Philippine Labor Code as an indispensable tool in human resource management

All modules, handouts/ PPT, and other reading materials will be made available in the
course site (CvSU E-Learning System) two weeks before the schedule of use. You can access
these modules at your convenience within this period.

COURSE POLICIES:
1. All CvSU students shall sign an honor system pledge at the start of the semester as
an oath to their honest commitment and participation in the flexible learning
arrangement be employed by the University this Semester.
2. During online-synchronous sessions, students shall wear decent attire and shall
observe proper netiquette throughout the session.
3. For offline, asynchronous activities, students shall work diligently on assigned tasks
and submit outputs on time. No late submission.
5. All major exams, particularly Midterm and Final Examinations shall be administered
as scheduled (based on the University Calendar).
6. Students who will miss a major exam examination or any class activity may be
excused and shall be allowed to make up for it only when the reasons are
acceptable as assessed by the instructor.
7. Any form of cheating and dishonesty shall not be tolerated. Once students are
found guilty of such, their chance to earn points or grades for the specific outputs
shall be automatically forfeited.
8. The University’s Grading System shall be followed as appropriate for this flexible
learning arrangement.
ADDITIONAL REMINDERS
1. Read carefully all instructions for each task before working on the requirements.
2. All questions related to requirements shall be coursed through the group chat.
Replies will be sent during office hours. Private and personal messages will not be
entertained.
4. Late submissions, i. e. within two weeks after the deadline, will only be
accommodated if reasons are valid and justifiable.
Axel Arjel S. Adaya, is a part-time instructor of Cavite State University – Carmona Campus. He
is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and pursued Bachelor Law thereafter, he is
likewise a holder of a Juris Doctor (Doctor of Laws) Diploma. He is currently a Court
Decongestion Officer of the Regional Trial Court in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. He is a tenured
faculty, teaching both social sciences and business management subjects since 2013. Law
subjects are his forte.
