    For this assignment, we would like to know whether there is a relationship between

    the duration of days of the recorded flood and the number of deaths. Using the dat i

    the csv file, we will conduct a classical independence sample t-test. We

    hypothesise the following

    1. Null hypothesis That the sample statistics for both means are equal

    2. Alternative hypothesis. The the sample statistic for both means are not equal

    We conduct a two tailed analysis then test the p value under a 95% significance

    level.

    The person’s r show that the is weak correlation between the two variables

    From the above with a p-value larger than alpha 0.05 we can reject the alternative

    hypothesis in favour of the null hypothesis.Statistical significance exists support that

    there is not difference in the two means.
