I have found out that I have a couple of stressors after weekly recording on the stress

management journal. To begin with, I found out that uncertainties are a huge stressor to me. Not

knowing what to expect from an occurrence leads to anxiety that eventually leads to stress. Some

uncertainties include not knowing exam outcomes, setting expectations on relationships with

others, and having a fear not to fail in everything I do so as not to disappoint my parents. I also

found out that I have a problem with forgetting things. I forget simple things as where I kept my

phone, where I kept my keys, a meeting I was to have with a friend, to important things such as

official appointments. Being forgetful affects my daily schedules since I waste time looking for

things I have forgotten about, to my relationships with others. Mt friends sometimes think that I

did not want to hang out with them. I remember one incident where one of my friends called me

out and said if I do not want to be involved with some events, I should just say it rather than

claim I forgot about it.

I have however found a couple of stress management techniques that have been very

effectful. To begin with, I have found out that breathing in and out helps me reduce anxiety for

short periods of time. I have found out that having a deep breath in, holding my breath for a

second or two followed by another breath in then letting all the air out helps with the anxiety. I

also found out that I enjoy developing mandalas. Doing so makes me forget about issues that

were stressing me out and have a time to only exist in the moment. To assist me deal with

forgetting, I usually keep reminders which notify me of important things I need to do. I also keep

a to do list. I have also started to ensure that I get enough sleep of about seven to eight hours a

day.
