Automatic Data Purge Setting can Corrupt the Operating

Introduction
The Automatic data purge setting is the number of days operating data is kept in the logs. The default
time is 14 days, which is not usually modified.

The Automatic data purge setting is only accessible to administrators. Changing the Automatic data
purge setting while the PathFinder 350S is running will also change the initial operating state in the
system configuration.

There is no fault if the Automatic data purge setting is changed while the PathFinder 350S is stopped.

No symptom is found until the next time the PathFinder 350S is powered on.

Note: This fault will be rectified in a future software release.

Description
The only symptom of this error (shown below) is observed at startup. The operator may report the Tray
Status is blank and they can't press the Play button.
Stopping and starting the PathFinder 350S has no effect.

Parts required or modified


None

Repair procedure
1. Attach the USB keyboard and mouse to the PathFinder 350S.
2. Minimise the GUI by pressing F11.
3. Close all open windows including the Workcell Controller.
4. Open My Computer, and navigate to C:\WCC\
5. Make a backup of the file called us3.cfg (right click on the us3.cfg file and select copy, then paste
using Ctrl+V to create a files called "Copy of us3.cfg").
6. Open us3.cfg in notepad by double clicking on the file.
7. Perform a search (by selecting edit, then find)for the word state.

1. This search will find three lines which read.. <property name="State" value="7"/> . Note the
actual value may vary.
2. For all three lines change the value to "3"... <property name="State" value="3"/>
3. Save and close us3.cfg (select file, then save).
4. Restart the PathFinder 350S.

Post repair checks


After login, the Home Page should display the Tray State as normal, and the Play button should be
selectable.
