Our first exposure to community health nursing! On that day, I was excited and prepared all the required equipment
for our itinerary. Sir Raffy inspected our paraphernalia and clothing upon our arrival at school to see whether they
were appropriate. After a while, we assembled in the barangay and conducted a courtesy call. Then, when it came time
to select a family for our FCA, I was hesitant since I did not know what to expect from the community. But as my
group was walking to a course to find a family, we went so far and were tired. However, we eventually located one
family that we interviewed. With that one interview, I understood how fortunate I was to have a house large enough
for my family. As we returned to the barangay hall, a family asked us to check their blood pressure.

Following that, we ate the "manukan," following Sir Raffy's recommendation. I was exhausted by the end of the day,
but getting to know so many people was a great accomplishment.

Our second exposure to community health nursing! When we got to the school's student center, sir Raffy checked our
attendance and paraphernalia. Sir Raffy assigned Dweine a mini-ci for our objectives. After waiting for our
classmates, we went to the barangay basketball court to fill the time. Then, we requested a scale from the health
center, but we were unable to borrow theirs because it was too big. Sir Raffy, let us return to our families to complete
our data gathering. When we arrived at our family's residence, we routinely took their vital signs, and their neighbors
also requested that we accept theirs. As usual, they were kind enough to answer our questions after we asked for our
data. When we said we would bring something the next time we visited, they joked, "ikami na bala keng kape ne."

We then proceeded to the 'manukan' to eat, where we observed our classmates eating with Sir Raffy and Ma'am
Evangeline. Our second visit to the Barredo family was enjoyable and strengthened our relationship with them.

It was the final day of our visit to the Barredo family. As I arrived at school, we waited for Sir Raffy's checking of our
uniforms and clothing. My groupmates and I gathered our funds to get something for them that day. Before we arrived
at their home, we purchased a token of appreciation for their generous hospitality. Ma'am Verones was not present

when we came because she was conducting a home service for one of her clients. We inquired about their health and
took their final vital signs upon arrival. Thankfully, we met Mr. Barredo, the head of the household, and received his
vital signs and physical evaluation for the first time. We also asked him questions for our data gathering, as we had
not met him during our previous house visit due to his occupation. Additionally, he shared a significant amount of
data with us and even showed us their past medical records.

On that day, we experienced a range of emotions since Mr. Barredo, despite having asthma, was exerting great effort
on a hot day. Since it was our last day and we had met them four times and had grown fond of them, we were sad. We
gained much knowledge from this activity and found it quite informative.
