Manos del Uruguay ALEGRIA GRANDE (75% superwash
merino, 25% polyamide; approx. 197 yds / 180m per 3.5 oz /
100g), 1 sk (MC), plus ALEGRIA GRANDE BOCADO (75%
superwash merino, 25% polyamide; approx. 49 yds / 45m per
.9 oz / 25g), 1 sk (CC).
Shown in AG8002 Ming (MC) with AGB2102 Juanita (CC).
US 7/4.5mm needle, 16” circular and dpn, or size to obtain
gauge
US 5/4.75mm needle, 16” circular
Stitch marker
GAUGE
20 sts = 4” in Stockinette stitch on larger needles
INSTRUCTIONS
With smaller circular ndl and MC, CO 100 sts. Join, being
careful not to twist sts, and pm to show beginning of rnd.
Rnd 1: *P2, k2; rep from * to end of rnd. Rep Rnd 1 until
work measures 2”.
Next rnd, increase: (Rib 4, m1, rib 6) 10 times. 110 sts.
Change to larger ndl. Knit 4 rnds.
Join CC and begin color pattern:
Rnd 1: *K4MC, k1CC, k5MC; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 2: *K3MC, k3CC, k4MC; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 3: *K2MC, k5CC, k3MC; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 4: *K1MC, k7CC, k2MC; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 5: *K4CC, k1MC; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 6: *K3CC, k3MC, k4CC; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 7: *K2CC, k5MC, k3CC; rep from * to end of rnd.
