Vocational Essay

The vocational essay that I am pursuing is to build a better community for our people. I chose to

make this decision because our community is looked at so differently from the outside in from

all the crimes that happen here, the number of kids that don’t end up finishing school and want

to be out on the streets like these grown men are. I get why people hate it so much, but you

need to understand that this little town called New Kensington was once a great place to live

and there were so many things for people to do and pursue and that’s what I want to build this

community back to. There is so much talent in kids to go to school shoot even college and if

people were to give it a chance and help me put this in the right direction great things can

happen and this town can go from nothing to something special and I can’t wait to see that!

Since the beginning, as revealed in Genesis work has been a fundamental dimension of human

existence on earth.  Even though the command to Adam and Eve to “be fruitful and multiply

and fill the earth and subdue it” (Genesis 1:28) didn’t explicitly refer to work, it certainly

indicates work is good for people. People need a person to help them during their everyday life,

and being that person brings joy to my life. Also, we as people must listen to other people's

ideas or even just a conversation because somewhere down the road it could help you. I want

to also mentor younger people so that they could use the knowledge I gave them to teach their

generation about life and job opportunities and what they can do as a human beings to bring

more power into this state one day and help direct these people to something bigger and more

successful. These rights are freedoms that are protected by our laws while most responsibilities

we can focus on as people and boost our community past its limits. This can help the people by
letting them be more involved with what we are trying to put out for people in different places

around the world and help the people in need that can’t do as much. We educate the public on

the most pressing social justice and racial equity issues. Incubate ideas, collectives, and

programs aimed at bringing systemic solutions to dismantle systems of inequality. Connect

people, ideas, and communities toward the advance of social justice and racial equity strategies

and initiatives. Promote the “good trouble” that various individuals, activists, organizers, and

institutions are getting into be the change we want to see. Produce collaborative high-impact

equity and justice-focused scholarship, programming, and initiatives. When he talks about.

Freedom is not a state; it is an act. It is not some enchanted garden perched high on a distant

plateau where we can finally sit down and rest. Freedom is the continuous action we all must

take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society." The

conversation would be very interesting because john Lewis would want us to back down from

being the best that we could be. He would want us to continue for what we thought was right,

which is building a better community and bringing better people in as well no matter what the

issue was because he knows he would be able to find a way to overcome certain obstacles in

life. This is a battle for the workers because there fighting to keep this company at its peak and

without them coming up with new strategies and allies there at a disadvantage which causes

them to have to let go of people. This is not fair because people bust their butts off to be able to

provide for their families and when we let go of people were putting our community and people

at a very big risk. Labor leaders believe that if the union wins in different states, that will pave

the way to organizing Amazon warehouses in more pro-union states for people. My experience

while doing this vocational essay taught me a lot about how to reflect on the great things you
have and what you can achieve as a person or even a leader. With every experience you will

gain new skills, learn more about the type of environment you enjoy being in, further explore

your strengths and interests, and test out your motivation to further study or pursue a career in

a field or discipline. In most cases, experience teaches you what you don’t want to move

forward. Lastly learning what you experience can help you recognize what to use when

evaluating your next step for yourself and your town. In conclusion, we don’t know what’s next

or what lies ahead but I for sure know that the legacy will continue no matter what its always

the next guy or woman up. Take a stand in what you believe in and just enjoy while you can

because the time will come for you to be tested and when it does you just have to make sure

you are ready and make sure your people are behind you ready to tackle it!
