FLOWERS FOR

MOTHER
This is a story about Apolinario
Mabini.
One day Pule’s mother was waiting
for her children to come home from school.
After a while she heard some voices from the
yard. She was glad her sons were already
home.
“Mother! Mother!” called one of her
sons. Pule will be a little late. He said he has
something to get for you.”
A little later Pule came. He had
some flowering plants with him.
“These are for you, Mother,” Pule
said. “I got them for you along the way. I
know you love flowers.”
How thoughtful Pule was! Instead
of getting angry, his mother felt very happy.
