Dennis Tito is a wealthy businessman and most widely known as the first tourist ever in space.

He wanted to realize an old dream to fly into space. He was willing to pay for it. It was not
approved by NASA. He turned to the Russians who have agreed to a price of 20 million $. He
passed the physical test and basic training, and on 28 April 2001 flew into space. As the
spacecraft left the Earth, he drank a glass of fruit juice and two minutes later he was sick.
Luckily, it was a minor problem and he got better very soon. He spent in orbit almost eight days
and enjoyed. He said that it had been a great trip.
For a long time space travel was something for heroes but this is going to change. Tito's
adventure was just the beginning. There are companies, like ProSpace, which want space and
space travel to belong to the public. There are also plans, like cruises through space from one
side of the world to the other.
