1927 - 1949

What Was The Chinese Civil War
The Chinese Civil War started in 1927 when two parties started fighting against
each other. The Kuomintang (KMT) and the Communist Party Of China (CPC).
They both fought until World War 2. They took a break to fight for their country.
After the war they picked up where they left off. The CPC ended up winning, and
the People's Republic of China (PRC) was founded.
Major
Events
July 1921
The Communist Party of China was founded
at the Shanghai French Conference
April 1927
The KMT broke up their alliance with the CPC. Many CPC members were
killed in the battle taken place in Shanghai. This is known as the Shanghai
Massacre.
January 1935
Mao Zedong was elected president of the CPC.
1946 - 1949
The two parties fought in a civil war for multiple years. Some battles are: The
Battle of Bamianshan, The Battle of Dalushan Islands, The Battle of
Baoying.Dong-Yin, and The Battle of Baoying
October 1st 1949
The CPC won and and the People's Republic of China (PRC) was founded.
What Were Some Major Players In The
War?
In my opinion Mao Zedong was a major player in the
Civil War. He was president of the CPC, and founded the PRC. He was one of the
biggest leaders in the war. Chiang Kai-shek was the leader of the KMT, he also
played a big role.
Success or Fail?
In conclusion was the Chinese Civil War a
success or fail? Personally I don’t think it
solved much. The CPC was able to stay
and that was that. The KMT wasn’t able
to stop the communists, and to this day
its a communist country.
