Internacional Migration and Development:
Promoting social inclusion and eliminating of all forms of
discrimination against migrant workers

The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal expresses great concern at the current issue
that is about to be debated, as globalization and closer ties with the world have
increased the number of migrants, whether by territories at war or by crises. economic,
humanitarian, or even almost ceaseless pursuit of a better quality of life. With this in
mind, we should stick to one important point, as countries that receive a larger number
of migrants must show a greater interest and concern for the problem.

As a country that has always struggled and chased for diversity, the Federal Democratic
Republic of Nepal calls on other countries here to focus on the problem, as with
restrictive and traditional policies, abuses and exploitation of migrants are growing.
exponential over time, and therefore must be fought to promote an egalitarian and
respectful environment around the world.

As evidenced by our coat of arms, with a female-male hand, the Federal Democratic
Republic of Nepal emphasizes that peace and equality should always be sought, and no
ethnicity, race, color, sex, religion, social condition or political opinion should be
grounds for prejudice and violence. Our struggle is humanitarian, without any
distinction where we see only humans seeking shelter in other countries for the sake of a
better life. Why should these people have less rights if they are as similar as ourselves?
