LOUIS JACQUES MANDE DAGUERRE (1787-1851)

- He is a French inventor that collaborated with Joseph Nicephore Niepce while experimenting
with photo reactive chemicals at the same time and forming a partnership with him in the year 1829 , In
his work he devised the first practical photographic process that he called it as “Daguerreotype” that
uses silver coated, light-sensitive metallic plates developed by mercury vapor, it can identify a polished
silver surface that resembles a mirror, with an image upon it. His line of work was greatly influenced
today for investigating crimes by the forensic investigators.

WILLIAM HENRY FOX TALBOT (1800-1877)

- He is the first inventor of positive negative process, he was the first to use and produced negative
pictures on paper, projecting lights of an image as a dark and dark lights, regarding the invention of his
positive negative process it begins the production of multiple prints on paper from a single negative,
that became the basis of photography today, his discovery is considered as the first true modern
photography and he called this process as “ Calotype” because of his achievements Talbot was also
considered as the father of photography

DR. EDWIN H. LAND (1909-1991)

- In the year 1947 an American Inventor invented instant photography and introduced the first
Polaroid camera that could produce a sepia monochrome print in just 60 seconds you can get fast and
immediate result as an evidence in the conduct of investigation because of advance technology it can
help heavily the forensic investigators to achieve almost accurate investigations which I considered as
the greatest contribution to modern photography today.
