Open in an empty space, it's dark. A fire materialises in the darkness, it rages and spits as we talk further. NARRATOR (V.O.) Concentrate. You feel deep down that fire inside of you, that primal instinct we're all blessed with. It spits and rages when threatened. It makes us fight, rather than lay down to die. The fire transforms into countries at war. Dead bodies, world leaders, flags. NARRATOR (CONT'D) (V.O.) Sure, at first we defended ourselves, and those closest to us. Now we fight in colonies, for our country. For that giddy sense of patriotism. Armies Made of the honourable men and woman who bare witness to all aspects of our threatened condition. They are the few to truly have seen the darkest parts of the human soul. Fade to darkness. NARRATOR (CONT'D) (V.O) Fighting what's in front of you, that's easily done. But what happens when that threat comes at night, when the guard is down, you sleep. Cosmic winds brush through the darkness. A little girl stands alone. Spirits and ghosts begin to materialise around her.
NARRATOR (CONT'D) (V.O)
Instead, not a person or group, but a spirit. Like ghosts in your mind. They rain down on you like a blanket of savage, swarming creatures, trying to take you from your family and those you love. You can't stand up and fight, it's in your mind, in the night. A creature that doesn't live in our dimension, a higher power. 2.
The spirits and the ghosts disappear. A cube draws itself
around the girl, protecting her.
NARRATOR (CONT'D) (V.O)
Now, what if I tell you there is a way to fight. You just haven't learnt it yet. Not to kill it, no. But simply a way to protect yourself from its clutches. Are you interested? Yeah. Well, here's the story...
